TripAdvisor taps OV for a top 15 destination

In case you hadn’t heard, Oro Valley recently made TripAdvisor’s list of “15 Ridiculously Romantic Weekend Getaways in Arizona.” Among the reasons for being selected are the gorgeous views and excellent outdoor adventures. To mark the occasion, at the Feb. 6 Council meeting, Mayor Joe Winfield issued his first mayoral proclamation: Celebrating Oro Valley as a Romantic Destination Month.

Major League Soccer returned to Naranja Park in February

For the third year in a row, Oro Valley welcomed the New York Red Bulls to the well-groomed fields of Naranja Park. Major League Soccer’s return to the OV means the Town has continued to invest in high-quality recreational amenities for its residents and guests. As a special treat for soccer fans young and old, the Red Bulls held an open game against Phoenix Rising on February 10, which was free and open to the public. Thank you to El Conquistador Tucson, a Hilton Resort, the Greater Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visit Tucson for bringing Major League Soccer back to Oro Valley!

REMINDER: Make your voice heard!

Do you have one minute a month to help make Oro Valley even better? Resident input is essential to the Town’s decision-making process, so we’ve launched a new online tool to make sure we’re hearing from the entire demographic spectrum. With the new FlashVote platform, you can sign up to take a one-minute survey (no more than once a month). Survey responses are anonymous and will provide statistically valid information for Council and Town leadership to make important decisions. Everyone who takes the survey receives the results once the survey closes. Sign up today at www.flashvote.com/orovalley and make sure your voice is heard! Prefer the phone? Just call 775-235-2240.
