Ingmar Bergman Film Festival

Vague Experimental Abstract

OBJECTIVE

The goal of this project was to create a visual system made for a film festival living in both print and digital media.

APPROACH

Few artists have created their own universe using recurring themes with such clear signature as Ingmar Bergman. The everlasting search for what life is truly about plays out throughout Bergman’s work. Bergman’s films are so strongly inspired by life, dreams, and all the mysteries that derive from them, therefore the visual systems reflect that very same search for the meaning of life. Delving into Bergman’s mind, photography, different techniques of typography and graphic tools were utilized to create a robust abstract visual system.

LGBTQ Liquor Packaging

Chic Flamboyant Lively

OBJECTIVE

The purpose was to create a brand and design packaging for a liquor collection.

APPROACH

While it is important to move forward in life, it is also important to look back and see how far we have come. Proud is a hypothetical liquor collection that takes you through the journey of the big historic events in the history of LGBTQ. Being propelled by the strong photography of Peter Hujar and David Armstrong, the visual language gives honor to the LGBTQ history with a punch and powerful mark.

Visual System for a music festival

Poignant Mysterious Urban

OBJECTIVE

This project required researching a system of any kind and thereby creating a project based on the system.

APPROACH

After thorough research of the braille system—the outcome was that visually impaired people experience music in a different way compared to sighted people. Beyond Vision is a hypothetical music festival targeting visually impaired as well as sighted people.

APPROACH

Throughout history the evolution of food is as equally as intriguing as the ever changing fashions and customs of our past. What was once only seen as a survival source, food quickly evolved to a statement of wealth and power. But we humans are not fundamentally different from one another, we are composed by the same flesh and driven by the same instincts. RAW is a conceptual cookbook that explores raw food, aphrodisiacs, and the human body.

OBJECTIVE

Invent and design an interactive app.

Youthful Inviting Diverse

APPROACH

People commonly make up their friend groups based on social and cultural similarities. On the contrary, the purpose of this project was to unite different cultures and personalities in bigger cities, and what better way than over food. The solution became the Potluck app—people meet through hosting dinners, brunches or game nights where everyone brings something to the party.

APPROACH

Triumph is a board game that takes you through a journey of the US political scene. A property game that challenges each player to take the role as president by traveling the board and discovering the different states while procuring as many as possible. Along the way, you will learn about the biggest secrets and scandals that have taken place in the White House along with information about every state.

APPROACH

The food enterprise Natural Directions is in serious need of modernization. By reinventing their approach to visual branding, their new identity uses a much bolder approach. The lively colors and big typography gives a forceful, honest visual approach. Simple yet eye-catching and powerful.

OBJECTIVE

Create a set of cards with the theme of a typeface.

APPROACH

A set of cards created as a tribute to the typeface “Gotham”, designed by Tobias Frere-Jones and released in 2000. The concept of the cardset is inspired from the construction of New York CIty—The hometown of Gotham.
