DAVID BEDKOWSKI

David Bedkowski was Oshawa’s 2nd round pick in the 20223 OHL Draft, selected 36th overall. From Toronto, Ont., Bedkowski started the season working for every minute of ice time he could get. With a strong defense core before the trade deadline, Bedkowski often saw himself as the odd man out. With the trade of Lleyton Moore, similarly to Danford, Bedkowski was able to make the most out of his chances, and rarely saw himself out of the lineup again.

Bedkowski was selected to represent Canada on Team Canada Red for the 2022 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge, alongside Sennecke and Danford. Bedkowski brought a silver medal home to Oshawa at the conclusion of the tournament.

Appearing in 55 games, Bedkowski managed to score two goals and add three assists while never sacrificing his defensive play. His first career OHL goal came on February 4th in Peterborough.

Making up one of three rookies to spend time on the Generals’ line this season, GensNation can expect only good things from this steady stay-at-home defender, who will surely only get more and more comfortable as he spends more time in the OHL and with the Generals.
