Set against the devastating floods of 2008 in the Kosi region of North Bihar, 'The Raft of Hyacinth' is a 24 page graphic narrative done in pen and ink that explores the medium of comic books to tell story of interiors of the oft-neglected region – almost cut off with time and space, as if still tethered to the feudal times. The project attempts to strike at the socio-economic problems that are the underlying cause of the prevalent crime in the region.
