HOROSCOPES FOR 2013 : An Astrological reading.
The planetary changes during the years since 2010 in accordance with many sources will last until 2015 as profound and all-changing influences. The last real effect of its kind was probably the collision of the Industrial Revolution with the First World War. Since then a lot has changed in the way human beings approach conflict, change and each other. In this respect, I believe that Pluto is of the most interest at this point. Pluto represents the use of power, its expression and motive. Lately as many are aware, it has been demoted. I refer in more detail to this in a podcast, and here I will explain that this has implications for the interpretation of the body, now a ‘dwarfplanet’ as the highest ranking order it possesses.
In the charts of any born before the demotion there is no change in the interpretation, as what has been stays that way, but as we live in the present, the influence is on the use of power now. Children for example born after the date of demotion (August 16, 2006) will use the influence; if their charts are aspected by this Further Body, in a way that will represent more breadth of knowledge about power and its means and motives. This will be very interesting in the future but I think a good way to consider it might be to bring into focus what Pluto now means. Examining Pluto’s path: Moving slowly through Capricorn, with its moon, Charon. Charon is the ferryboatman of the dead, perhaps representation of the growing consciousness and connection with
those who are no longer sharing our spacetime. The idea of payment to the ferryboatman is also key, an atonement, a recognition and maybe a better understanding of the spiritual is something we will see the power of in the near future. This previously hidden satellite of Pluto is now revealing its role to humankind. The signs aspected with most challenge. Importantly, this does not mean difficulty but an opportunity to show leadership and use skills that have been tested since approx. 1992. Capricorn, the sign where Pluto is situated until January 2024, will be a focus as well as being aware of the shift and rebalance of their skills. Currently Capricorn is squared by Saturn in Libra. Saturn is ruler of Capricorn, and this might signify a test of rules to live by, standards and their implications, both signs enjoy ritual, graceful but firm leadership and a good sense of civilization that may be the guideline needed to keep a harmonious path with some breadth. These are the Cardinal Signs, to move through them as Pluto, we see Aries, Libra and Cancer, the latter suffering relationship and partnership issues; whether to have a partner at all, how to function, lead and progress in the chosen manner. Balance and stability are also being tested here, the difference between transparency and a personal hunch may be questioned. Cancer would be correct to take things slowly and wait for Jupiter to catch up and show an expansive route to success. (Around their birthdays next year might feel like a good time to start looking)

Aries and Libra are both in a position to make a move and step forward to make a profile in quite dramatic and unprecedented ways. Ways that might startle and amaze some, others in their community will simply be ready to support them, which might make them quite nervous of the responsibility. Signs in harmony with Pluto’s movement through Capricorn are the Earth Signs, Virgo, and Taurus, who are aware of the anxiety that is in the air and have already planned any number of failsafe security measures, diets, gardening and post-disaster activities for everyone and most have posted them to the internet at least, in an extremely community-minded fashion. Virgo ‘Baby-Boomers’ particularly, have good experience of the pending threat that could be posed, as they grew up in a generation that was nervous of new technology’s power and reach, with the Cold War, and Internet. However, the aspects to them are harmonious, and this means they have the opportunity to make a difference, to be part of a movement that has a voice and has the power to use it, and communicate thoroughly about the ideas that may change the future for the better. Taurus sense and anxiety and stress on the systems of the World, the Planet, The Banking System, Security of a profound and material, but indeed Human, level. It cannot be ignored that we are watching a lot of established norms dissolving, but on another level this means they have the opportunity to show the meaning and power of respect for those things and how it can provide a structure, the power of support and direct energy of the bull. It would be incorrect to say that any sign is feeling calm at the present time, but the
growing sense of the power of community and groups, the growing understanding of the depth of wisdom we can attain by thinking, meditating and respecting what is necessary long term instead of for a quick solution is understood. For Capricorn Pluto, to examine the qualities affecting the zodiac, we see a Cardinal Sign, an Earth sign and a Winter sign. The austerity we have seen, but this is also about leadership initiatives, making a plan that brings everyone through, and not wasting effort. For Scorpio, Capricorn is always elusive and compelling, how can such an effective power be so cool? Capricorn’s still waters run deep, and a spiritual side is what Scorpio finds beneath the surface. However, this spiritual side has the power to be effective, to achieve results with barely a movement, in Scorpio’s opinion. This sublety and cool wisdom is what Scorpio is learning to use. Sagittarius is the sign before Capricorn, This signifies that the skills of Capricorn have yet to be learned, that studied grace, the sleight of hand. Sagittarius have the ability to see the glints of the future plan at present, as they are in opposition with Jupiter in Gemini and have the idea that power is being ahead of things, through that doorway to another level. Aquarius follows Capricorn, they have learned that coolness and found that simply being detached works for them. Jupiter and Saturn presently in harmony with Aquarius have already given plenty of energy to their humanitarian efforts and they might be experiencing the calm breeze of having reached a place where they can see its worth and indeed power.

Pisces is a sign that knows the weaknesses of Capricorn, the goat with a fish’s tail and at this point in history is uniquely positioned to see the possibilities and the subconscious aims of the human race, from its current position with Neptune. Expansion plans seen a bit overwhelming for Pisces until June 2013, when a plan seems more acceptable as Jupiter moves into reassuring Cancer to show the way. Gemini, where Jupiter is currently moving about, gives a personal sense of success, but Gemini is conscious of an anxiety that causes sleeplessness, although that was never a problem for them. The shift of power to them is a question of communication. Which information will make the path clear, Capricorn power is based in target-seeking, clean cut and simple rules, revised often, that
make the Gemini aware of the need to hit just the right note, once. Leo is finding the future a tantalising possibility; Jupiter and Saturn are aspecting their sense of family and co workers, teams that work closely being developed to be tested when Saturn moves into Scorpio and doubts about what they have achieved surface to make them aware of what they have achieved.
