Arts and Humanities creates and disseminates knowledge of
human experience, thought, expression, and creativity to advance the world’s welfare in all its dimensions. Our students become professional visual artists, performers, and entrepreneurs by engaging with faculty on creative projects, interning at local and national non-profit organizations, and touring with ensembles on a national and international level. Many of our students become fluent in languages and cultures through multiple study abroad opportunities, become accomplished writers by involving themselves in area and group studies, and become talented researchers through analysis of literature, history, English, and philosophy. Students also can prepare for the teaching profession by taking one of the many k-12 licensure programs in the visual arts, music, theatre, or English and History. Degrees in Arts and Humanities prepare students for success in graduate and professional schools, for careers in business, education, communication, music, arts administration, film production, and as professional visual and performing artists.
