Changing Computers, installing a new primary hard drive, or re-‐installing the operating system from scratch. With each purchase you are granted a single license for that account holder. That licence authorizes you to access your product from one device (computer). If you have installed your LockLizard license on one device but would like to transfer it to another, you can do this. For example, it has been installed on a PC but you would like to install it on your laptop instead, you can transfer the license. Please keep in mind that you will not be able to have your LockLizard license installed on both devices at the same time. To remove the license from your computer please refer to the Removing the Keystore (Unregistering your Viewer) instructions. Downloading the LockLizard Safeguard Viewer Software or your License Triggers False Alarms in Anti-‐Virus and/or Anti-‐Spyware. Most Anti-‐Virus software nowadays utilize heuristic technologies that are supposed to make “educated guesses” on potential threats even if a concrete one is not detected. Heuristic technologies can enhance security but often trigger false alarms. False alarms usually go away in less than a month following a virus definition update from your anti-‐ virus software company.
10.
To eliminate the possibility of a real threat you may use the “Virus Total” service (http://www.virustotal.com/). Virus Total scans files with dozens of anti-‐virus software and therefore returns much more reliable results than just scanning with a single anti-‐virus. Go to the Virus Total website and upload the suspected file for scanning. Most uninfected files may trigger false alarms in a few anti-‐virus software packages. Infected files will trigger alarms in dozens if not all anti-‐virus software scanned by Virus Total. The current workaround for this issue is disabling the Anti-‐virus or disabling its heuristic features prior to using your OTP product. Print settings must be set to “Print Directly to Printer”, not “Spool Print Jobs”. Since this copy protection does not allow the data to be saved to a file the print job fails. The settings are a bit different for each printer driver so I exact instructions are not possible but here is an example:

a. Click the start button (Windows) b. Select ‘Devices and Printers’ c. Right click the printer and select ‘Printer properties’ d. Browse the various options and locate the spool settings. One example looks like:

Registering your activation code is required to licence the viewer and to gain access to the copy protected material. The activation code is the first line on the label just below DVD. The first three letters designate the brand. In the case of Volvo the first three letters will always be “VTP”. (Note: The 2nd line is the batch number and does not need to be entered.) Please ensure the correct entry of “O’s” and “0”. Zeros will be seen to have a diagonal line through them. (Note: If these are entered incorrectly, the code will not work). Activation codes are case sensitive.
13.
Notes on Activation Links: a.
Activation links are launched when you click on the “Activate Now” link from within the Introduction tab of the title that you have purchased. Each link is specific to that title. Registering your activation code is required to licence the viewer and to gain access to the copy protected material. After installing the PDC Viewer you must register using the matching Link for your title, these links are not language specific.
