Transfer Credit and Credit for Prior Learning
Admission Process
Applicants for the Po t Master P program may be enrolled provi ionally for one quarter through the Office of Graduate Programs while completing the admission proce s. Applicants mu t submit tran cripts howing completion of both a B degree and M degree from an in titution of higher education that i fully accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting agency, and a
LNAC and/or CC E accredited program in nursing; Application for Admission form; and a current Ohio RN licen e number. (The Office of Graduate Programs will verify current Ohio RN licensure on the Ohio Board of Nursing website and a copy of the licen e verification will be added to the student file.) In order to en ure priority admission consideration, these materials should be submitted approximately four weeks prior to the start of the quarter. To be con idered for full admi sion and continuation in the Po t Masters P program, all admission materials mu t be ubmitted to the Office of Graduate Program according to the published deadline. Plea e refer to your provisional admis ion letter for the applicable deadline . It i the applicant's re pon ibility to ensure that all material have been submitted by the appropriate deadline.
The completed application material are reviewed by the Nursing Professional Review Committee to determine whether the applica11t i accepted into one of the Post Master P programs and may continue to enroll in graduate course work. Applicant to the Post Ma ter P program have the option of being provisionally admitted and enrolling for one quarter prior to review for full admis ion. Applicants who do not exerci e thi option and are denied admis ion by the ursing Department Professional Review Committee, may not provisionally enroll under a degree or non-degree admission status.

Post Masters Nurse Practitioner Programs transfer credit for graduate level
course work will be considered if: • The cour e work is evaluated by the Progran1 Director of the Post Masters Nurse
Practitioner Programs and course faculty. • The transcript and syllabus reflects course work at the graduate level from a NL AC and/or CC E accredited graduate nursing program. • Graduate course work must be taken at an institution of higher education that is fully accredited by the appropriate regional accrediting agency. • The content of the transfer course is equivalent to the cour e offered in the Otterbein
College Post Masters Nurse Practitioner Programs . • The course has been taken within the previous five years. • The course was completed with a grade of B or higher. • A maximum ofone clinical course will be accepted for transfer credit. • The clinical course that are eligible for transfer credit are: URS 701, NURS 705 and
UR 706.
