This included managing model castings, booking models, prop and location sourcing and assisting on the shoot days. I also provided administrative support to the team, co-ordinated courier and travel bookings and managed the portfolios. The role required me to demontrate strong time management, organisational and problem solving skills. Contract: Paid • Arcadia Group: Dorothy Perkins Creative Assistant. 2010 Working alongside all members of the creative team duties included collating imagery for mood boards, preparing boards for presentations, co-ordinating mark-ups with retouchers and working with the stylist to prepare looks for the shoots. I assisted on the a/w 2010 e-commerce shoots working with both models and mannequins. I enhanced my I.T skills and feel competent using Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, Word and Excel. Contract: Unpaid • Unconventional Productions: Production and Styling Assistant. 2010 Assisting the director I conducted model castings and worked alongside all levels of the company. Taking on a personal assistant role I was responsible for booking and co-ordinating travel and hotels for the team. I assisted on a shoot for Sky to advertise their 2011 SkyRide event, helped to produce the 2011 Pepsi campaign which included sourcing garments for Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres and worked on other ad hoc projects. Contract: Paid • David Hawkins: Stylists Assistant. 2010 Working on the set of a music video I assisted in the styling of Faye Dunaway and Kristin Kreuk. I was introduced to the high pressure environment of a film set and learnt how to work alongside well established names. Contract: Paid • The Guardian: Stylists Assistant. 2009 A placement assisting stylist Priscilla Kwateng. Duties included calling in garments, preparing for and assisting during the shoot. I gained an insight into the fast paced environment of the fashion department at an established newspaper. Contract: Unpaid • Arcadia Group: Press Assistant. 2009 I assisted with call-ins and send-outs and was responsible for the fashion cupboard. I developed an understanding of the press office and increased my communication skills through dealing with both journalists and other departments within Arcadia . I also dealt with the press coverage and gained an understanding of the relationship between the press office and the media. I learnt to work quickly and with minimal direction as a result of the fast paced environment. Contract: Unpaid Achievements Travelling in India and trekking in Nepal: An eye-opening experience and a physical challenge that has enhanced my cultural awareness and been a continual source of inspiration. Interests I love to travel and find nothing more inspiring. I am also extremely interested in photography, particularly the work of Tim Walker.
