Ace Bailey

Ace Bailey has worked in the arts and tourism fields for 20 years. Before establishing Ultimate Art & Cultural Tours, she designed and conducted art tours both locally and throughout the Southwest, Seattle, and the Northwest coast. In 2010, Ace was appointed to the Scottsdale Tourism Development Commission. Currently, she hosts the Magical Mystery Tour at the Hotel Valley Ho.

Adam Rains

Adam Rains has a true passion for food, wine, beer, and spirits, and is the 2019 Nevada Restaurant Association’s “Drink Specialist of the Year” along with 2020 Italicus “Bar Artist of the Year.” He is the Lead Mixologist and Beverage Director for Golden Tiki and a founding member of the marketing company Polite Society. He represents Lemba Rum and Alma Tequila and is assisting in developing a new whiskey for Silver State Distillery. Adam has helped open several restaurants and bars and is also the Brand Ambassador for Brooklyn Brewery.

Audrey Moorehead

Audrey Moorehead is a Rudi Gernreich ambassador and has been collecting his clothing for over 35 years. Moorehead has over 400 pieces of Gernreich designs in her collection. She has showcased her vast collections in fashion shows and museums including the Fearless Fashion exhibit at the Skirball Cultural Center and Phoenix Art Museum.

Coby Bruckner

Coby Bruckner calls the Sonoran Desert home but draws inspiration from all corners of the globe when it comes to plants and landscape design. He is passionate about creating environments that function at every level to meet aesthetic, environmental, and ecological goals. When not behind the drawing board Coby spends his time tending to his greenhouse plants or working in his desert garden.

Didi Saiki, Fred Acebo & Samuel Miller

B4Change is a grassroots organization of BIPOC hospitality professionals, dedicated to reshaping the industry and community to be more inclusive and equitable. B4Change focuses on anti-racist education through posted action items, allowing people to engage with progressive movements, and helping disenfranchised people. When not working with the Tiki community, they work with San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood and distribute clothing, shoes, and apparel for anyone in need. They have recently partnered with @feedthepeoplecollective to provide hygiene kits and food.

Gabrielle Maser

Gabrielle Maser grew up in Mill Valley, California, and began her career working at some of the West Coasts’ truly amazing restaurants. She discovered her true home when she moved to Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i, and earned her BA in Interior Design at Chaminade University. She was mentored and guided by Honolulu’s own master cocktail creator Christian Self of Bevy, and honed her mixology and craft bartending skills as she learned from an expert how to design and concoct unique, balanced, and beautiful cocktail creations.

Jay Mark

Jay Mark has produced antiques-related books for Dover, was a contributor to And Tiko-Tu? a study of regional Mid-century architecture, and wrote nearly 800 local history columns for The Arizona Republic. He regularly contributes to the Antiques Register and Arizona Contractor and Community and has been recognized by the Arizona Historical Society’s “Al Merito Award”, the State Historic Preservation Office / Arizona Preservation Foundation’s “Governor’s Heritage Preservation Award”, and the City of Mesa “Historic Preservation Award for Outstanding Achievement: Lifetime Contribution”.

Just Abby

Australia’s burlesque bartender, Abby, catapulted to notoriety after winning the national title of “Patron Perfectionist Australia” in 2018, a mere eight months after mixing her first drink. With her cocktail, The Muldjewangk, she championed Australian native ingredients in a newwave Tiki style that saw her compete as one of twenty global finalists that year. Now the national ambassador for Australian craft spirits with Nip Of Courage, Abby works to create awareness for local producers, with an unapologetically tropical vibe.

Marshall Shore

Marshall Shore, a.k.a. Arizona’s Hip Historian, is a librarian turned hipstorian. When moving to Arizona 18 years ago, he often heard the cry “there is no history here,” but that was simply not true. Following his passion for uncovering the weird, the wonderful, and the obscure treasures from our past, Shore celebrates those semi-forgotten people, places, and events that have made us who we are today. He has developed an almost cult-like following for sharing history through trivia, tours, and lectures.

Matt Pietrek

Once New Orleans-based Matt Pietrek donned a Hawaiian shirt and made a proper 1944 Mai Tai, his life changed forever, leading him to become a renowned expert in spirits and cocktails. From his 2018 book, Minimalist Tiki, to his CocktailWonk website, “The Wonk” writes deep dives into spirited topics, including entries in the Oxford Companion to Spirits and Cocktails. Nicole Vasbinder Pacheco

Nicole Vasbinder Pacheco is a super crafty dynamo and the designer behind Nikolani, a small custom aloha clothing line where she creates caftans, shirts, hats, and more! She has owned StitchCraft in Petaluma, CA since 2008 where she has taught thousands the joy of sewing. Nicole has written three books and worked as a designer and merchandiser in the garment industry. She is one of the cofounders of the Aloha Caftan Society and lives for bright prints, big hats, and ridiculous amounts of hair flowers.

Pam Ashlund

Die-hard swizzle stick collector, Pam Ashlund manifested her dream when she launched the House of Swizzle. Her swizzle-studded Instagram page features many of her favorites. She serves as the editor/writer for the Swizzle Stick Collectors Association and is currently working on a history book, written: “from the point of view of a swizzle stick”. Pam has a collection of 50,000 swizzle sticks and has been featured in numerous publications. She founded Swizzle-Con in 2019 to bring swizzle super-fans from around the globe together to share their passion.

Ron Ferrell

Ron is a longtime collector of vintage surf, tiki, nautical, and Polynesia, and enjoys traveling to Hawaii, Tahiti, Brazil, Cuba, and the Cook Islands. He has amassed a huge library of movies, music, commercials, TV shows, and photos of Tiki and the South Pacific. He is a writer, artist, carver, mug designer/maker, and tropical lamp builder for home and commercial bars including Smuggler’s Cove, Ventiki, Hale Pele, and Inside Passage. An educator, designer, and builder of The Rincon Room, he is also a partner in Sespe Creek Distillery.

Steve Conrad and Juliet Frew

Steve Conrad and Juliet Frew have both performed and taught ukulele for many years. Steve is a member of the Ukebillies who play 1950s and ‘60s covers on the ukulele. Steve and Juliet taught at both Arizona Tiki Oasis and Tiki Oasis San Diego in 2021. Juliet brings patience and attention to new players to help them get started on this beautiful instrument. Steve is also a Lindy Hop and Swing Dancing teacher. He was recently featured on ABC’s The Bachelorette, HGTV’s House Hunters, and NBC’s Little Big Shots: Forever Young, as well as numerous music videos. Juliet Frew developed her love of dance at a young age and is also an experienced Lindy Hop and Swing dancer. She was a featured dancer in Sia’s “Cheap Thrills” music video and loves traveling to dance and teach dance.

Sven Kirsten

His love for visuals inspired Sven to collect and photograph the remnants of the forgotten culture of Polynesian pop in America, leading him to identify the Tiki as its icon. He published his findings in The Book of Tiki in 2000, presenting all the aspects of Tiki style– its design, graphics, architecture, social culture, and cocktail mixology, which put Tiki firmly on the map of American pop culture. Sven followed with Tiki Modern, Tiki Pop, and The Art of Tiki.

Tiki Lindy

Tiki Lindy started in the cocktail industry nearly two decades ago. A private events bartender, tiki bar menu, and event cocktail consultant, she regularly represents spirits brands and guest bartends at tiki bars. Her roots run even deeper in the culinary world. She is the author of Tiki Lindy’s Field Guide to Pupus, Tidbits & Exotic Provisions, Tiki Lindy’s Compendium of Tropical Delicacies & Adventurous Eats, and Retrolicious: Retro Inspired Cocktails & Mocktails. She has provided symposiums on rum, tiki bar setup, and cocktail garnishing at tiki events nationwide.

Tom “Big Toe” Laura

BigToe, aka Tom Laura, was raised in SoCal on a steady beach-rat diet of Ed Roth, Mad Magazine, and Surfer Magazine’s Rick Griffin. Tom creates art with a casual, tongue-in-cheek sense of humor and playful eroticism that offers a nostalgic escape in our fastpaced world. The art of BigToe has been displayed and sold in art galleries worldwide, featured in several books, and magazines including his first book Gratisfaction, the Unaspirational Art of BigToe, as well as on Tiki mugs and design elements at your favorite tiki bars.
