Enhanced Training and Apprenticeships

from

An Apprenticeship is a programme of learning funded by the Government that is aimed to benefit both an employee and their employer. The scheme is designed to enhance the employee’s level of competency and confidence within their current role by developing their practical skills and knowledge. As a result the employee gains a nationally recognised qualification in the form of a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Certificate or Diploma, Key Skills (literacy & numeracy) as well as knowledge of their statutory rights in employment. In return the employer is able to benefit from improved overall efficiency, productivity and competitiveness within their market sector.

so what’s new? In an effort to continually improve our service and drive up standards we have created Enhanced Training and Development. In simple terms this is a series of workshops aimed at raising the standard of training for our learners, preparing them for the world of work and ultimately, making them better and more rounded employees. As the government reduces the amount of funding for training and development, many providers are now asking for a financial employer contribution. This is something we at Qube have decided not to do. From the thousands of learners we have successfully put through Apprenticeship programmes we have learned a number of important lessons about not only what makes a successful learner, but what makes a happy employer. The Enhanced Training and Development workshops we offer are exclusive to Qube and offer learners an opportunity to: • • • •

get expert insight into the theoretical and technical aspects of Apprenticeships meet other apprentices working in similar roles obtain a better understanding and general knowledge of specific working practice learn through additional insightful training.

Enhanced Training and Development costs either £250 or £350 per learner, depending on which qualification they undertake.

comparing your options At present, the standard National Apprenticeship is available to all. For 16-18 year olds it is entirely funded by the Government. Here at Qube we do not charge for enrolment, certification, registration or any other fee. Our new approach: Enhanced Training & Development (ETD) is around 90% funded by the Government and therefore incurs a small charge:
