A Virtuous Woman

Proverbs: 31:10 -30 (New Living Translation) 10

Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies.11 Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She finds wool and flax and busily spins it. 14 She is like a merchant’s ship, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls. 16 She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. 18 She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns late into the night. 19 Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fiber. 20 She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy. 21 She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm clothes. 22 She makes her own bedspreads. She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns. 23 Her husband is well known at the city gates, where he sits with the other civic leaders. 24 She makes belted linen garments and sashes to sell to the merchants. 25 She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. 26 When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. 27 She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. 28 Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: 29 “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised.

2 Timothy 4: 6-8 (King James)

6 For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at the day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

A Mother’s Love Michael O. Adesanya

There are times when only a Mother’s Love Can understand our tears, Can soothe our disappointments And calm all our fears. There are times when only a Mother’s Love Can share the joy we feel When something we’ve dreamed about Quite suddenly is real. There are times when only a Mother’s Faith Can help on life’s way And inspire in us the confidence We need from day to day. There are times when only a Mother’s Faith And a Mother’s steadfast love Were fashioned by the Angels And sent from God above…

More Than Just My Sister My sister, You’ve always been a guiding light As I’ve experienced The ups and downs of life You’ve been a source of strength When I couldn’t find my own And when I felt lost You reminded me, as long as there is you I will never be alone. You always have a patient heart And more than enough time to spare When I need someone to listen Or to know someone does care You always know the right thing to say When I need sound advice And the right thing to do When I’m faced with decisions in my life. You’ve been such an important part Of everything I do And I just want to say thank you For being more than just my sister But for being you.

To Maw Maw In Our Hearts We thought of you with love today, But that is nothing new. We thought about you yesterday. And days before that too. We think of you in silence. We often speak your name. Now all we have is memories. And your picture in a frame. Your memory is our keepsake. With which we’ll never part. God has you in his keeping. We have you in our heart.

Why A face that is always on my mind, A smile to brighten up all our lives, Two eyes that would light up the night’s sky, Dear Lord I will not ask why,

The day was long, then night then morn, I knew that soon you would be gone, Soon we would be out of time, To pray, to laugh, and to cry, Dear Lord I will NOT! Ask why, To stay with us you fought so hard, A million pieces went my heart, But great memories I will always keep, Your Love in my heart eternally, To understand WHY, I can but try, We pray that God’s Grace and Mercy was there on your side. To a very special Lady in my life Love Lil Gwen

Very Special Thanks A medical school student graduates and becomes a physician; one who diagnosis, treats, and offers prognosis. But once in a great while you find one who is genuine, caring, and who goes all out for a patient. Rarely do you find a medical doctor, a true physician who thinks enough of the well being of their patients enough to make house calls, especially on their own time and on their own dime. Dr. Cassandra Youmans is such a person. She was at the beck and call of my mother and me. We were able to contact here24/7. Years ago when you took care of my father you offered the same support. It means so much to know that you truly cared and saw my parents as more than just your patients. Your words offered so much comfort even when we knew the time was near for my mother. You are truly a blessing!!

John 10:14 I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— Elder Brian Richburg is a true man of God. He is anointed and a true Shepherd of his sheep. He visited the hospital, the rehabilitation center, made phone calls, visited the house, and watched Monday night football because these things offered comfort to my mother. She once said she didn’t want to accept treatment and Pastor Richburg said, “Sis. Jason the church needs you, and I need you, let’s go forward”. Being the faithful sheep she said, “Okay”. On his many visits to the house, he would go into the bedroom and stand at her bedside and talk as long as she wanted, then he called everyone who was there at the time in to circle the bed holding hands as he begin to pray. My mother loved and had the utmost respect for her pastor. “I” and my family cannot express how much it meant to us for the dedication and support you rendered. May the Lord continue to bless you in your ministry and you lead your flock.
