FAMILY BOND…
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:6-7 NKJV

Grams and I was close so when I tell you these are the things she would say: “I loved all y’all, none no more than the other, ‘cause all y’all done slept and ate in my house.” “I have given your momma money to help with whatever she needed.” “Because Bubble has always stayed with me, It seems I loved him more, but I felt he needed me and he had only his mouth to feed.”
“I was going to cook anyway, so I let him stay.” “I loved all mines the same and I worked to make sure they had.”

Her Journey
Tributes… My Mother
On Monday, May 19, 2014 at her home, Sister Adline Wilson answered the Master’s call from labor to reward. She was born in St. Francisville, Louisiana on September 19, 1918, the oldest of ten children, to the late Mack and Charity Rowel.
Adline accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age, and at the time of her passing, was a member of First Evangelist Baptist Church, where she served as the Mother of the Church. She received her Missionary License on March 22, 1997. Adline leaves to mourn her passing, celebrate her homegoing and cherish her memories, her devoted daughter, Annette Stubbs; her loving son, Joe Louis Robinson; grandchildren, Kenneth Richmond, Sr., Fay Richmond Drake (husband Rodney), Marvin Richmond (wife Erica), and Karen Richmond; 19 great-grandchildren, 31 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Alfred Rowel (wife Gloria); Godchildren, Micheal Rowel and Debria Tripps and a host of nieces, nephews and other family & friends. Adline was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Walter, Alice, Isaac, Sam, Iceola, Robert, Fount and Maggie; Junius Robinson and son-in-law, Liddell Stubbs.
My mother, my neighbor, my friend. She has always kept me close within. Through the window or a fence; I would always be close to my kin, not my sister, nor just another friend. This would be my mother, a door step away, or around the corner, just a porch away. I know she was there to stay. She loved me in such a special way to free me to say I do, I did, but I never lived where my mother could not be. For she always seemed just across the street and she truly has been more than just a piece of me. Knowing how close she was made me complete. Though she may not hear me cry, goodnight mother, cause I know you are still near by.
Adline Wilson My momma, mother, more like a mother to many. To me she was my friend, my confidant, my inspiration, my motivation. I used to wonder if anyone could see me, can they feel me, do they know I’m alive? Do I matter? Have I died? Will anyone ever care? I really don’t know. In the street I could easily pretend to be someone who didn’t care. The thought of Adline would bring me in to be renewed and lifted. For she would give me the real. She would say “I see you there. I know you care, and I love you anywhere.” Anyway, to me you will always be my granddaughter Fay, and for you I will always pray. I will pray because I know the greatest part of me is for you to succeed, because one day you will be me! And on this day I can say I’m glad to be alive, because I know my faith was to be by her side until she died! Bye
