The Life & Legacy of

entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the age of 64. She was born September 17, 1953 to Albert and Rose Mae Smith in New Orleans, LA. Janet attended school in the Jefferson Parish school district and went on to attend Delgado Community College. She worked as an Office Manager at CCMP for many years until she was called to serve in the ministry of God. Janet Williams was a devoted and faithful servant of the Lord for over 30 years. She was an inspiration to many, nearly everyone she met. Lady Janet, as she was affectionately referred to by members of Jesus Temple of Deliverance, and to those in the body of Christ, encouraged everyone that called upon her for advice and counsel. She was anointed as a teacher and prophetess to those she ministered to. Lady Janet was faithful at everything she put her hands to do whether as God’s minister, wife and companion, mother, homemaker, organizer, prayer warrior, or friend. She was always the same – loyal and dependable. Even though she was a powerful General in the body of Christ she also had a loving, tender and softer side. Janet was married for 38 years to Pastor Larry Williams and together they raised five beautiful children. Janet loved to cook and spend quality time with family and friends. Playing board games with her family was one of her favorite things to do. She didn’t like to see people hurt or go without. She was always a blessing to many by helping in any way she could, whether it be spiritually or physically. She will be missed by many. Janet is survived by a loving and devoted husband of 38 years, Pastor Larry Williams; son, Ryan K. Williams (Desaray); daughters, Kimberly J. Williams, Crystal L. Williams, and Candace D. Wilson (Kedric); sisters, Virginia Robinson, Audrey Mae Smith, Paulette West and Latoyia Petty (Shane); brothers Albert Smith Jr, Harold Smith (Bessie), and Lavon Smith; and grandchildren, Troi Williams, Ahsai Williams, Andwele Williams, Gary Ernest Jr, Kia Ernest, Ariah Williams, Trinity Williams, and Kaiden Wilson. Janet was preceded in death by her son, Harry Williams IV (Tonya); parents, Albert and Rose Mae Smith; sisters, Delores Chess Owens and Diane Anderson.

Precious Memories

Remembering Our Mother “Words cannot express the ache in my soul to lose a most beloved mother. I will continue to walk in your example and the wisdom you sowed in my life and raise my son to love Jesus Christ as you did all the days of your life.” -- Candace Wilson “Still can’t believe you are no longer with us. This is the hardest pill I ever had to swallow and accept. No more “Watch It” while I drive you around town, no more of your wonderful home cooked meals, bible studies, and many more things as being the best mom I could ever hope for. I know you are in heaven rejoicing with the Lord and having the best time ever. You will be missed by many but more by your kids. I love you but wish I had more time with you. Rest in Heaven Mama.” -- Ryan Williams “Mama, you have taught me so much about life, but most importantly you have shown me how to stay strong and that no matter what life brings our way that we should always trust in the Lord. I love you and will miss you dearly.” -- Crystal Williams “I love you, I love you, I love you. Mama, in my tool box I have the wisdom from a strong mother, a praying mother, and a mother who loved her children no matter what. The best experience of your love is knowing that you had my back even if I asked for it or not the way you fought in my corner and carried my children as yours. You’ve given me a memory I will never separate from. You’re with God now, and I have two angels at his hem as I pray to God for His grace.” -- Kimberly Williams
