Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony

Memorial Day holiday began as “Decoration Day” on May 30, 1868 – a time to decorate the graves of those that lost their lives in the war; yet, even prior to that date, local observances were held to honor those who died fighting in battles across the North and the South. The Town of Davie will recognize Memorial Day with a Parade beginning at SW 70th Terrace and concluding at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds. A Ceremony will be held at the Fairgrounds at 11:00 am. For info call 954-797-1181 or visit www.daive-fl.gov/playdavie.
