Hollywood Beach Sweep

Help keep Hollywood’s beaches beautiful on the second Saturday of every month. Volunteers meet at 7:00 am at Charnow Park, located at Garfield Street and A1A, to collect litter and cigarette butts from Hollywood Beach. Minimum age to volunteer is 8 years old. It is recommended that volunteers wear a hat and sunscreen and bring their own water. It is also a good idea to bring a snack. Please wear closed-toe shoes only. St. Patrick’s Day

Celebrated on the 17th of March every year, St. Patrick’s Day is one of the most popular days of the year to travel to Dublin. For centuries, the Irish have celebrated the day as both a religious and social holiday. South Florida has become one of the go-to locations to celebrate Saint Patrick's day in the United States. So, kiss me if you’re Irish!

Florida AIDS Walk & Festival

While HIV and AIDS have fallen out of the spotlight in recent years, the epidemic is far from over. An estimated 1.1 million people in the US are living with HIV, and 15% of them don’t know it. Florida AIDS Walk works to bring attention to this pressing issue, educate and inspire our community to work together, and end the epidemic once and for all. We walk for the more than 100,000 people living with HIV in Florida. We walk to remember those who no longer can. 7:00 am till 3:00 pm at Fort Lauderdale Beach and Park, 1100 Seabreeze Blvd. Visit www.floridaaidswalk.org for more info.

St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival

The City of Hollywood and Hibernians of Hollywood are teaming up to host the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in downtown Hollywood. The parade begins at 1:00 p.m. and will feature dozens of festive floats, local marching bands, and spectacular bagpipe and drum corps, including the New York Police Department Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Corps. The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales are also scheduled to join the parade. Anniversary Park will transform into the “Magic of the Emerald Isle” children’s activity area for youngsters of all ages. Noon till 6:00 pm in Downtown Hollywood.

Downtown Hollywood Art Walk

The Downtown Hollywood ArtWalk is back! This monthly event is open to all. Explore all that downtown Hollywood has to offer:! Visit galleries and shops while enjoying art, cultural entertainment, live music, murals, and more! Artisan Market, 6pm-11pm; Mural Tour, 6pm-7pm; Gallery Tour, 7pm8pm; Impulse Art - fusion of music and foot painting, 8pm-9pm. For more info visit floridashollywood.org/ArtWalk/.

ArtsPark Movie Night Featuring: Lyle, Lyle Crocodile

See a free family-friendly flick every Friday at the ArtsPark Amphitheater at Young Circle in Downtown Hollywood. Lawn seating is available, so bring a blanket or beach chair for comfort. This night’s show will be Lyle, Lyle Crocodile. Based on the best-selling book series by Bernard Waber, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is a live-action/CGI musical comedy that brings this beloved character to a new, global audience.
