Behind the Badge
Tysheika Shaw Kimberly Potano
The Miramar Police Department is one of the most racially and ethnically diverse departments in Broward County. We also have one of the highest percentages of female officers on staff and collectively have officers that speak nearly a dozen languages. Our officers though, connect with our residents on many levels. Did you know many of them had careers in other fields before deciding to join our department? From teachers to therapists and beyond, we value the experience and skills they have brought to Miramar. Our dedicated officers are truly a reflection of our community!
