December Message
CORAL SPRINGS COMMISSION DECEMBER MESSAGE
The end of the year is near, and soon we’ll be ringing in 2022! We are excited to invite residents to our many holiday happenings throughout the month of December! From Downtown in December, the annual Holiday Parade, to the Deck the Halls contest there are so many family-friendly events to look forward to as we close out 2021.
On Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., we will usher in the holiday season with our signature family event, Downtown in December. This free event takes place on the City Hall lawn (9500 W. Sample Rd.) and features a holiday dance party, free train rides, cookies, ice skating, and more fun activities. Rumor has it there may be a chance of snow, so dress accordingly!
On Wednesday, December 15, 2021, the city will host its annual Holiday Parade along Sample Road, which starts at Coral Springs Drive and ends at City Hall (9500 W Sample Rd.). This year’s theme is “Lights, Cameras, Selfie” with the city awarding the top three float entries.
Just ahead of the annual Holiday Parade the city welcomes back the Coral Springs Holiday Mile Run along the parade route. This fun-run is open to runners of all ages and abilities.
We encourage residents to stay informed about Coral Springs events, text the keyword CORALSPRINGS (one word) to 888-777 or visit www.coralsprings.org/events.
One of the greatest things about our community during the holidays is the outstanding effort residents put into decorating their homes to usher in the season. This effort is why our Deck the Halls holiday décor contest is so popular each year. We encourage residents to register their festively decorated homes with photos and location, so that we can share it with members of the community. The deadline to participate is December 9th, to register visit
