About Dr. Vera
Dr. Vera specializes in nonsurgical treatments to help patients in their journey to achieve the best versions of themselves. Originally from Colombia, Dr. Vera moved with her parents and sister to Fort Lauderdale when she was just nine years old. Armed with intelligence, determination, passion and street smarts, she graduated at the top of her high school class and had the prestigious honor of being immediately accepted into Nova Southeastern University Medical School’s dual admissions program straight out of high school.
Being passionate about saving lives, Dr. Vera was drawn to Trauma and Emergency Medicine, eventually becoming a full-time Emergency Room physician in Broward and Dade Counties. Her relentless drive for excellence helped save countless lives. After a successful ten-year career in the ER, Dr. Vera decided to open a private practice to pursue her other passion: Aesthetics.
The Vera Medical Institute is the culmination of Dr. Vera’s twin passions and abilities: her eye for aesthetics and her skill as a physician. She is on the cutting edge of age management medicine, a proactive and preventative approach focused on optimal human function, appearance and quality of life.
