It’s almost time for fireworks! The city’s Fourth of July Celebration will take place at Mullins Park (1000 Ben Geiger Drive) on Tuesday, July 4 at 5 p.m. with live music, food trucks, and the fireworks set to light the night sky at 8:30 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Text 888-777 with keyword CSFIREWORKS to receive traffic and weather updates related to this event.
On Monday, July 10 Coral Springs will celebrate its 60th birthday with pop-up ice cream events taking place throughout the city. Details can be found on the city’s Facebook and Instagram.
Move with the Mayor will continue this month with a Kickball game hosted by Mayor Scott Brook and Vice Mayor Shawn Cerra. The free event will take place on Saturday, July 27 at the Sportsplex Athletic Fields (2800 Sportsplex Drive) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Learn more about upcoming events by visiting CoralSprings.gov/Events.
Everyone can, and should, have a chance to make an impression on the future of their community. That’s why the city launched Vision 2035, a free survey initiative that allows Coral Springs residents to voice their hopes and desires for the city’s future. The results will formulate the city’s Vision 2035 Plan, a long-term, aspirational blueprint for the future of the city that will contribute to the strategic planning process and future budget initiatives. Residents can take the survey at CoralSprings.gov/Vision2035.
July is National Parks and Recreation Month. Make sure to follow along on PLAY Coral Springs on Facebook as we shine a light on our community’s parks, share upcoming events, and highlight our dedicated Parks team.
Coral Springs is committed to reducing plastic pollution so we can have cleaner streets, sparkling waterways, and beautiful communities. Residents may notice several water refill stations at our city facilities and events. We encourage residents to reduce plastic waste by using a refillable bottle when possible.
The next Commission meetings will take place on Wednesday, August 2 and Wednesday, August 16 at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are aired on CityTV, Blue Stream Channels 25, 25.7, 725 and on AT&T U-Verse channel 99. Meetings are also live streamed at CoralSprings.gov/CityTV.
