The City of Weston's popular Moonlight Movies in the Park series will retrun this month.
With the spring lineup of films for Moonlight Movies in the Park, moviegoers will discover that heroes come in all shapes and sizes. Residents of all ages can gather at Weston Regional Park on one Saturday night each month, now through April, to enjoy movies under the stars. All of the films are free and appropriate for the whole family.
The Boss Baby: Family Business premieres on February 12th at 7:30pm. In a follow up to the original Boss Baby film, the adult Templeton brothers have drifted away from each other, but team up after consuming a magical formula that turned them into babies for 48 hours. Joining forces, both brothers go on a undercover mission to stop a new boss baby, that inspires a new family business.
Ron’s Gone Wrong is scheduled for Friday, March 4th at 7:30pm. In this animated movie, Barney, a socially awkward middle-schooler, and Ron, his new walking, talking digitally connected device, launch into an action-packed journey against the backdrop of social media, where they come to terms with the wonderful messiness of true friendship.
Moonlight Movies in the Park concludes on Saturday, April 9th at 8pm with Peter Rabit 2: The Runaway. In this fun caper, Peter strives to be good, but the other Rabbits cannot see past Peter’s playful and mischievous ways. He embarks on a journey beyond his garden in hopes of finding a group of friends who enjoy causing trouble. Yet, unknown to Peter, his family is trying to track him down to convince him to return to where he truly belongs.
All movies are projected onto a giant inflatable screen at the Event Stage inside Weston Regional Park, next to the Weston Community Center. Moviegoers should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. Coolers are permitted, but alcohol is not allowed in the park. Children must be accompanied by an adult. ▸ For more information about Moonlight Movies in the Park visit www.westonfl.org.
