Advice to Young Women Beginning a Medical Career
As a woman in medicine or in any other field, the odds are stacked against you. It has taken me a while to be comfortable with my style of leadership, to own my own voice. What I’ve learned is that only you can define yourself, your dreams, and your passion. No matter how big or small they may appear to be, own your dreams, and stand up for them. You may fall, you may get tired, may even want to quit, and that’s normal. Retreating back to basecamp is ok, but only to recover, renew, and then charge back into the chaos. Remember: a winner is just a loser who tried one more time.

My advice for the young people in the industry is to, first of all, be authentically you. There is plenty of business to go around, so focus on what you are passionate about. Create a brand and be consistent by providing your sphere and community with relevant and interesting information. Content is today’s most important currency. Vida believes that skin care and massage therapy should be considered a very important part of overall well-being and health. This is why she crossed borders seeking different schools to learn different techniques. She learned different techniques such as Dr. Ling's popular Swedish Massage and John Kellogg's massage techniques, along with other oriental techniques. This search for different training led her to Spain to learn a unique technique that sets her apart: Vida is a quiromassage therapist, and graduated from one of the most prestigious schools in Barcelona, Spain by Dr. Sagrera Ferrándiz. To this day she also continues to develop new techniques and gain additional knowledge about the best products and equipment in the evolving field of skin care for her facial services.
Advice to Young Women Pursuing a Your Filed
My recommendation for young and future professionals would be to learn not only one technique but several, without hurry. Also, dedicate time and practice until mastering the techniques. Most importantly, put desire into the work, love for the profession, and interest in the well-being of the client.

Through my years in the field of massage therapy and skin care, I realized the importance of a health guide. Last year, I graduated as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.
