ABOUT COLUMBUS LGBTQ Columbus As the 15th largest city in the nation, Columbus is home to a vibrant gay community, much of which congregates in the Short North and Clintonville neighborhoods. The Short North has a number of gay pubs, art galleries, popular gay and lesbian centers, nightclubs, coffee shops and an annual gay and lesbian theater festival in September. It’s gay pride all year round with businesses vying for the gay dollar by donning the famous rainbow flag. Clintonville is more of the lesbian hangout. This part of Ohio ranks among the highest per capita donations to LGBTQ political causes in the USA. Way to put your money where your heart is, Columbus.
