ABOUT PORTLAND LGBTQ Portland If you like great art, cool people, good food, shopping and nature, Portland will be a satisfying destination. Portland is a laid back big city that’s still got that small-town feel to it--and reasonable prices to match. The Pearl District is home to some of the city’s best known chefs and restaurants, world class art galleries, and vibrant shops and boutiques. Located in the heart of downtown, one will find businesses ranging from finance and real estate to renowned advertising agencies and software firms. The Pearl District is nestled among familyfriendly parks that attract visitors and locals, many of whom call the neighborhood’s iconic residential buildings home.
