irth photography is a beautify way to capture the raw emotion of a very special time in your life. Birth photography documents the details of the arrival of your bundle of joy while freeing up Dad, Grandma, or the friend that is there for moral support. Birth photography requires very little interaction between the photographer and those being photographed. The intention is not to stage photos and make everyone pose and smile for the camera. The professional birth photographer job is to document the action without interrupting or getting in the way of the medical professionals . Birth photography is a photojournalistic approach to photography. The intent is to capture candid moments spontaneously to emphasize emotion and present the day’s story in a beautiful way. Birth photography is much more than the actual moment of birth. It’s the birth environment details and the supportive people who are there. It’s mom holding dad in pain, the nurse offering medication, and the doctor helping mom push. It’s the baby when your eyes meet for the first time, everyone’s tears of joy, pure adrenaline, exhaustion, and then those brand new little fingers and toes. It’s your child’s birth day. BABY LOVE contract details Included
Up to 6 hrs of labor and delivery. 50-100 digital images with printing rights.
Payment
The total for the birth session is $300 and can be paid in full or in three payments: $100 down reserves the session [see refund policy below] $100 before the birth proofs will be released [non-refundable] $100 before any products are released [non-refundable]
Refund and cancellation
Births are unpredictable. Creative Eye Photography will do everything within reason to be there, but if unforeseen circumstances occur, all monies paid will be refunded. If Creative Eye Photography cannot provide coverage as a result of your actions or due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, monies paid will be applied toward a newborn session. This can include failure to provide adequate notice of the baby’s birth and a dramatic change in the birth plan. If Creative Eye Photography provides any coverage on the day of the birth, but is unable to get a good variety of at least 50 images, we will return later that day or the next day to take more pictures to supplement your gallery.
Permission
Please confirm that photography is allowed at your birthing facility.
Privacy
Creative Eye Photography respects the privacy of this important session and will request permission before publicly posting any images.
BABY LOVE it’s time The Call
Please contact your photographer the moment you “think” you might be in going into labor. This will provide time for making plans to be there. This is especially true if this is not your first baby as those have a tendency of arriving much sooner. Call even if it is 3 a.m. and even if it is a false alarm. We would much rather be ready to go than to miss the event!
The Guests
Friends and family will want to take pictures while they are there. This is encouraged, however, we ask that they give us priority so we can do what you have hired us to do. It is helpful to talk to guests before the big day and let them know we will be there.
The Images
The birth is documented with the light available in the delivery area. No flashes are used. During very low light situations, images may be more raw and may have film grain. Images will typically be in black and white.
