Jazz at George IV is to be part of the prestigious EFG London Jazz Festival. A first for the venue, it is only one of a very few places in West London to be included. The UK’s leading Gypsy Jazz & Swing ensemble Trio Manouche will be playing a very special show as part of this year’s Festival along with the much-celebrated Italian swing vocalist Francesca Confortini on Thursday 18th November. Before then, in October, the popular Blues Engineers aka renowned singer and slide guitarist John O’Reilly and multiinstrumentalist Nick Payn present another exciting evening of funky Urban & Country Blues on Thursday 7th, followed by Piaf Remembered, a highly atmospheric jazz cabaret showcasing the life and songs of the iconic French singer Edith Piaf featuring the celebrated French singer Oriana Curls on Thursday 14th. The UK’s finest interpreter of song, Barb Jungr presents Every Grain Of Sand, her world famous work highlighting the music and songs of the great Bob Dylan on Thursday 21st, while the rumbustious Mississippi Swamp Dogs return on Thursday 28th with their exotic gumbo of swinging blues, New Orleans Rhumba and Cajun-Funk rhythms as they celebrate the music and rhythms of the Deep South. The month of November starts off with a musical bang on Thursday 4th when the sensational singer and keyboardist Tom Seals, fresh from his sell-out Let The Good Times Roll tour, pairs up for an evening of soul soaked blues together with top saxophonist Alex Bone, whose current single with the legendary Niles Rogers has been climbing the soul charts. Appearing on Thursday 11th is one of Chiswick’s most famous artists, the award-winning guitarist Antonio Forcione who will be performing his acclaimed Motown & Magic show, a vibrant and highly original blend of jazz, Latin, African, Flamenco and Soul. And so to Thursday 18th and Trio Manouche – did I mention they will be part of the EFG London Jazz Festival?! The Fallen Heroes complete the line up in style on Thursday 25th some hot rhythm and blues and swinging jazz with numbers from some of the greats such as Ray Charles, Fats Domino and Chuck Berry all helped along the way by the noted Kansas City boogie pianist Dean Ross.

For more details of all these gigs Google Chiswick Calendar and Jazz at George IV. Tickets bookable through Eventbrite.
