• Crossbows become faster when the draw weight is increased. • Crossbows are usually 150 to 200 lb. in draw weight, shooting between 200 and 400 FPS.

• What’s the ideal speed? It depends upon the size of what you’re hunting and the weight of your arrow.

o For big game hunting, 300FPS with a hunting-weight arrow should be sufficient.
