Studio One Forever

DIR. MARC SALTARELLI | USA | 94 MIN.

TUESDAY | JULY 18 | 7:30PM | HARMONY GOLD

Partner Screening with Pauley Perrette and Project Angel Food

More than just a disco, Studio One was a haven for gay men looking for identity in a world that saw them as outcasts, merging the community with the Hollywood elite for the first time, and becoming the staging ground for the LGBT rights movement and fight against the AIDS crisis. Disco dance party following the screening!

The partnership comes as part of Concord’s Impact Investment Initiative a $10M fund to deploy capital into projects and companies that serve or are led by members of underrepresented and marginalized communities, in contrast to Concord’s general philanthropic efforts, the intent of the impact investing fund is to provide support and investment to projects that have commercial potential if led by folks from communities that historically have not had access to those resources.

Problemista

Aspiring toy designer Alejandro (Julio Torres) takes a job assisting an erratic New York art-world outcast (Tilda Swinton) in a desperate effort to stay in the U.S. before his work visa expires. Armed with Torres' incomparable visual style, a cast fully committed to his comic vision, and even wry narration from none other than Isabella Rosselini, Problemista is a can't-miss.
