This document is designed to give you an introductory overview of the MyMarketer business so that you can start to make an informed decision about becoming a MyMarketer Business Owner (known inside the business as a MBO). Hopefully, by the end, you will have learned more about what makes the MyMarketer opportunity so special and what incredible value and support you will receive by joining MyMarketer.

What is MyMarketer? An explanation Very simply put MyMarketer is ‘The Marketing Business’. MyMarketer provides marketing services within an organised structure (legally speaking - a franchise) to ‘mid-market’ sized businesses that have no existing marketing personnel and/or support. A MyMarketer Business Owner (MBO) becomes their client’s marketing department not only developing and planning their marketing programme, but also delivering marketing activity. MyMarketer uses and follows a proprietary set of systems and processes (we call them recipes) to deliver enormous value to its 4 primary stakeholder groups: • MBO’s (each one being XYZ Ltd t/a MyMarketer) - the franchisees • Our customers • Our supplier network • MyMarketer Ltd - the franchisor

Support & Training Probably the single most important aspect of the MyMarketer business model is the ongoing support that a MBO receives. From the minute you start you’ll be running your own business, but you certainly won’t be on your own there is a team of people (both at MyMarketer HQ and other MBO’s) who are committed to helping you every step of the way. In addition to ongoing support we provide new MBO’s with initial training - a 1-week induction programme which covers all the key aspects of managing a successful MyMarketer marketing business including the development of your own business plan.

MyMarketer Recipes & Tools At the heart of MyMarketer are robust and welltested systems and processes - the MyMarketer recipes. These recipes form part of an online guide book that all MBO’s have password protected access to - the MyMarketer intranet site. The MyMarketer intranet site includes all administrative, sales, support and marketing recipes and tools to help successfully run your business.

The MyMarketer Network For efficient day-to-day running of a MyMarketer business, the MyMarketer network is a unique and valuable component. By joining MyMarketer you’ll have access to highquality people and services enabling you to keep both quality and margins high. The MyMarketer network has 3 parts: 1. MyMarketer Creative Services - where MBO’s have the support of and access to pre-negotiated wholesale rates from a wide variety of creative services including strategists, art directors, designers, illustrators, animators, storyboarders, copywriters, website developers and online experts. 2. The MyMarketer Production Network - where MBO’s have access to a community of production suppliers who guarantee delivery of their services within pre-agreed parameters. 3. The MyMarketer Partner Network - where MBO’s have access to a host of industry bodies, marketing, media and administration services and tools.


Getting new customers Whilst many customer leads at MyMarketer come from referrals and networking, MyMarketer has recognised the tremendous value of having a proven new customer acquisition recipe. This recipe is used by MyMarketer as the cornerstone to supporting, guiding and helping MBO’s get enough of the right type of clients to achieve profitable sustainability. This recipe includes a proven ‘filter’ which gives potential new customers an obligation free online marketing audit. The outcome gives them both an introduction to MyMarketer and a free report on their current marketing position. It is important to remember that the franchise structure of MyMarketer greatly benefits the MBO. The franchisor (MyMarketer HQ) relies on franchisee (MBO) success to reap its own rewards, which means that there are real incentives for the franchisor to assist an MBO in achieving those rewards.

Software Many marketing consultants struggle with the issue of keeping track of time spent on a client and the invoicing and following up of unpaid invoices. MyMarketer uses a cloud-hosted software tool where VBO’s can logon using password protection to: •

Manage all ongoing projects

Log time spent on each project

Track jobs

Develop MyMarketer quotes, invoices, purchase orders and reports

Using this web-based system each MBO is responsible for quoting all client jobs, for sending invoices to and collecting payments from each client, and for receiving invoices from, and paying the suppliers of each of their client’s jobs. In addition, MBO’s also have access to and usage of cloud hosted software platforms, such as: •

MyMarketer Business Ownership Costs The MyMarketer Franchise Fee NZ $35,000 + GST This fee is part of the $49k total cost of entry into the MyMarketer business and is paid (prior to starting) in return for: • •

The right to use and share in the MyMarketer brand and all related activity and material The MyMarketer tools (e.g. customer audit tool, the SEO audit tool, the client job signoff tool etc.) Initial MyMarketer training The design and production of MyMarketer branded stationary as outlined in the Franchise Agreement

The MyMarketer Start Up Advertising Fee NZ $14,000 + GST This fee is part of the $49k cost of entry into the VOLOM business and is paid (prior to starting) in return for the cost of a 6-month, personalised digital lead generation and advertising campaign called MyMarketer Boost.
