Sacramento Rainbow Chamber Of Commerce Announces Winners Of 2023 Business & Community Excellence Award
The Sacramento Rainbow Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of its 2023 Business & Community Excellence Awards in an awards ceremony today at Hilton Sacramento Arden West. Of the many nominations received, four community leaders were selected by a panel of judges, based on their significant contributions to bettering Sacramento’s LGBTQ+ community and workforce.

Nominations for the Sacramento Rainbow Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business & Community Excellence Awards open each February. Each nominee application is evaluated and scored by a volunteer committee of Sacramento Rainbow Chamber of Commerce members, and nominees do not need to be members of the Chamber to particularly stood out in their efforts to advance equality and diversity within the Greater Sacramento Valley community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to thank them publicly at our awards luncheon.”
This year’s Corporate Advocate award had two recipients: Paul Lau, CEO and General Manager of SMUD; and Robert Nelsen, President of California State University, Sacramento.
Jake Bradley-Rowe, Executive Director of HIV/AIDs nonprofit Sunburst Projects, was named Community Leader of the Year. Pucci’s Pharmacy, owned by Joel Hockman and Clint Hopkins, won the Business in Excellence award.

Jones, Board Chair of the Sacramento Rainbow Chamber of Commerce. “The tireless work of these compassionate, dedicated and admirable community leaders makes the Sacramento region a better place for all.” be considered for certain awards.
