Finally, Sacramento Gets a Gay Restaurant That Will Have Brunch
Ever since Hamburger Patties closed, there hasn’t been a place in Sacramento that the community could know that they were welcome, and could be comfortable and gay. Of course there are lots of community-friendly places here in town, but it’s just not the same as an LGBTQ+ owned and operated business. But, now we can say hello to Roscoe’s.
Taking over the old Hot Rods location, as well as G-Spot and even Sidetrax, Roscoe’s makes the most of the space, feeling both chic and comfortable, with room to relax and socialize.
I had a chance to sample some of their menu items, but have not experienced a full service meal. I tried the mac and cheese with pulled pork, a burger with bacon and fries, and even a

and photos by Ron Tackitt small bite of the fried chicken with mushroom gravy that comes piled on a thick round waffle. Everything I sampled was really good, and the portions were quite generous. I look forward to going to Roscoe’s for brunch sometime soon. They will be open regular hours as well as late night, and I can just imagine how great a good burger will be at the end of a fun evening.
