Our approach to work has never really altered, we have had the ability to work remotely since 2018 and have always had the ethos that work is always about give and take - it’s how good teams operate.

Our Roles at Northern Accountants
Assistant Accountant
AAT Level 4 Qualified
Managing a portfolio of clients, supported by your production team, you are responsible for the delivery of your clients’ VAT, CIS, Month Ends, Management Information, and Accounts Production. Supported by your Client Manager, this crucial role is our day-to-day link with clients ensuring they receive accurate information and supporting them with their accounts and software queries.
Onboarding
AAT Level 4 Qualified
Working on onboarding clients, training support for clients and new starters, and providing cover and support throughout the business.
Accountant
Part Qualified
Managing a portfolio of Limited companies, supported by your ACM, you are responsible for ensuring the delivery of a portfolio of smaller Limited Companies. You will deliver Year-end meetings, basic Tax Planning, Self Assessments, and support clients with their enquiries. Excellent role for those wishing to make the step to a Senior Client Manager position once professionally qualified.
Senior Accountant
Professionally Qualified
A client facing role, managing a small portfolio of more complex clients requiring full accounting services. Supported by your ACM team, you will be responsible for delivering all meetings including: Monthly MI, Quarterly Reviews, Tax Planning, and Year End Meetings. Building strong relationships with your client base, you will be available for complex queries and general business support. As a Senior member of the team you will also undertake management activities and be part of the Senior Leadership Team and playing an integral part in the future development of the business.
Director
Professionally Qualified
Our Most Senior Accounting role. Building on your work as a Senior Client Manager but with a much smaller portfolio. The Director is responsible for managing and growing a Divisional portfolio. Supported by your wider team, you will have a smaller portfolio allowing you time to focus on Business Development as well as strategic planning and management of your team.
