The project draws inspiration from a combination of a digital escape room and a love story called "LOVE" by group Z. at the peak begining of COVID-19 pandemic, it has been challenging for friend groups to gather and spend quality time together while maintaining social distancing. This difficulty sparked the idea for creating an ad campaign using Clipper and Spotify playlists as a means to reconnect friends through music.
The concept behind the campaign is that friends from different locations can play the specially curated Spotify playlists whenever and wherever they are. This initiative aims to bring people together during a time of loneliness and isolation, providing a virtual gathering space in the absence of physical get-togethers where friends would typically gather to enjoy music and smoke.
The aesthetic for each advertisement within the campaign draws inspiration from the artists and songs highlighted in the playlists. For instance, one of the songs featured is "Follow Your Arrow" by Kacey Musgraves, and the associated ad would reflect the vibe and aesthetic of Kacey Musgraves' music. Similarly, another song featured is "Day N Nite" by Kid Cudi, and the corresponding ad would capture the essence and style of Kid Cudi's music.
Overall, the goal of the Clipper and Spotify playlist ad campaign is to bridge the gap caused by social distancing measures and provide friends with a virtual space to enjoy music together, fostering a sense of connection and togetherness during a time when physical gatherings are challenging.
After creating my first collage (Clipper x spotify) I enjoyed the cut out images and cut out PNG style and kind of stuck with it. Collaging is a creative and artistic technique that involves combining various materials, such as photographs, images, papers, and found objects, to create a unified and visually appealing composition. It is a versatile medium that allows individual artists to express their imagination and ideas in a unique and personal way.
Collages can be made using traditional methods, where physical materials are cut, layered, and glued together, or through digital means using image editing software. Both approaches offer me different possibilities and outcomes sometimes even combinding them together. (See next page at scanography.)
One of the fascinating aspects of collaging is the freedom it provides for juxtaposing different elements and exploring diverse themes. I have the freedom to mix and match images from various sources, combining unrelated objects, textures, colors, and patterns to create a harmonious whole or an intentionally chaotic arrangement.

I think of myself as the empress that represents stability and femininity. This card signifies a happy woman who expresses herself creatively. There are many details in this photo because the empress reminds us to pay attention to details in art and I thought this was fitting. She also symbolizes a full circle of creative flow. This scene is how I see myself in my own life. At first glance it is chaotic but after understanding it turns into pockets of information.
