I recently shot this image with my X-T3 while taking a casual morning stroll through a park near my home in West Virginia. This cluster of leaves floating atop the water in what was mostly a clean, debris-free lake caught my attention almost immediately. I typically enjoy capturing the beauty of everyday sites and scenes and thought this image caught the beauty of the early stages of autumn and the fading glimmer of summer. This image was one of those shots that went mostly ignored until a couple weeks later and, upon further review, it really grew on me not only because of the simplicity, but also the beauty and calmness of nature and the contrast of the changing seasons. For my photography the simplest of images can tell the best stories and evoke strongest feelings of that little moment in time.
