Well, dear friends - what can be said that hasn’t already been said? The surprise and rapidity with which the coronavirus spread, the massive and unwelcome disruption it has caused to all our lives, and the affliction and health issues which may have affected family, friends and loved ones - all arrived so unexpectedly as a real shock to the system. We sincerely hope that you remain fit and well, or at the very least, will soon be enjoying a full recovery if you have been affected.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to give our round of applause to those who staff the NHS and all the other services who have continued to battle on our behalf at the forefront of the pandemic.Thank you.The nation will forever be in your debt.

Although the crisis may not be over by the time you read this, we hope that circumstances will allow us all to be moving slowly back to normality soon.With this in mind we have prepared our summer catalogue brimming with cheerful ideas to brighten the mood.

During the past months and as a result of the coronavirus, our good friends and neighbours at Suffolk Owl Sanctuary have of course continued to care for the many birds in their charge, both those injured wild owls & other birds of prey brought into the raptor hospital for care, rest and release as well as the team of beautiful birds used for demonstrations and school visits.

However, during this time the doors of S.O.S. have been closed to visiting members of the public.

This has meant a severe dent in the vital revenues the Sanctuary needs to continue operating at full strength throughout the year.
