Concorde was the British/French turbojet-powered supersonic passenger airliner that operated from 1976 until 2003 as an aviation icon and one of Britain’s most awe-inspiring aircraft. It had a maximum speed of over twice the speed of sound at mach 2.04, and was able to carry up to 128 passengers.
