Wash less

Wash your clothes as rarely as possible. Washing machines damage the textile fbers and consume a lot of water. Clothes that are machine washed too frequently will lose shape and color, and the fabric will lose its thickness.

Washing alternatives

Airing

Air your clothes after wearing them, as it refreshes the garment and reduces bad odors. Airing works on almost all types of clothing, especially wool garments.

Steaming

A steamer leaves your clothes fresh, smooth and wrinkle-free. The hot steam reduces bad smells, kills bacteria, and removes any signs of a garment ever being worn.

Stain removal

Remove the stain as fast as possible, using a stain remover. The stain is then targeted specifcally, instead of having to wash the entire garment.

Steaming from the outside

This is the most common technique for steaming. For a professional result, make sure you grab the bottom of the fabric and press the steamer onto the textile. If you wish to get a pressed look, the heat protection tool included with your steamer is a great help. Use this technique when steaming for example:

• The front of a shirt, blouse, jacket or similar

• Sleeves

• Pockets

• Curtains and bed linen

Steaming from the inside

This is how steaming is done in the fashion industry. When you steam your clothes from the inside you get a clear view of the wrinkles smoothing out. It also makes it easier to put pressure onto the fabric. Use this technique when steaming for example:

• The back of a shirt, blouse or similar

Use like an iron

Get rid of pilling
