The position is assigned in the Workspace Hospitality Unit (CSWH-HM) within the Workplace Management and Hospitality Division (CSWH). CSWH is under the Corporate Services Department (CSD).

CSD manages the building and facilities and delivers over 70 diverse services essential for ADB’s operation. It provides administrative support to ADB Management and staff and delivers quality products and services at an affordable cost. The office is headed by the Director General and supported by Division Directors who manage the respective business units. The Workplace Hospitality Team is responsible for events services, food and beverage services, and a host of personal commercial services including commissary, gas station, and personal service providers such as laundry, cooperative store, and personal banking service outlets. The Head of Hospitality Services will, in compliance with internal/industry controls and guidelines, provide strategic and operational leadership to the team in transforming and innovating Hospitality services and managing ADB’s Events Management services, Food and Beverage services, a host of staff Amenity Services, and Support Services and Client Relationships for the executive suites at HQ. The incumbent will also work in close liaison with CSWH’s operations, compliance, space, and capital projects teams, as well as managing contracts and partnerships with 3rd party professional Hospitality services firms. The incumbent will report to Director, CSWH and will supervise National Staff and Administrative Staff. Purpose

• Conduct periodic studies, benchmarking with other international financial and commercial organizations to recalibrate and enhance strategies, services, operations.
• Transform Hospitality services into best-in-class in terms of service offerings, user needs and experience, service and operational excellence, state of the art technologies, tools and processes, vendor performance, and value management.
Responsibilities
• Provide functional and technical input and validation (feasibility & compliance), and oversee the detailed specification, sourcing/procurement, documentation, launch, and operation for various services.
• Provide strategic direction, industry best-practices, and functional, technical and program management guidance to the Hospitality Team. Devise innovative, flexible, and sustainable service solutions, operations standards, and related annual workplans for HQ.
• Provide clear direction, supervise the performance of, and coach and develop the capabilities of reporting staff to create a continuously learning and improving team and function.
• Lead engagements with 3rd party specialist firms; Assume responsibility for the vendor management and performance of contracted 3rd party service providers.
0 Food and Beverage Services: Lead the Food Services Team in implementing effective and efficient planning, monitoring, and executing service offerings, operations, quality assurance and controls, balanced budgeting, vendor performance, and customer-experience for the HQ cafeteria and contractors’ canteen, business and events catering services, executive and private dining facilities, and on-floor vending and pantry services.
0 Staff Amenity Services: Manage and provide contractual and operational guidance on the key activities related to staff amenities including planning and effective and efficient running of the Commissary for International Staff, the Cooperative Store, gas station, commercial banking outlets and ATMs, laundry, and other personal logistics and administrative services offered at HQ.

0 Management of Support Services for Executive Suites: Acting as an interface for CSWH/CSD service requests & fulfilment of management requests is also included under this function. Ensures that proper coordination and efficient support is provided to the Office of the President and Management in fulfilling management requests related to food services, events management, residence maintenance and security.
• Support ADB functional and service managers in engaging and influencing internal stakeholders and managing the change process for the adoption of established and newly developed standards and guidelines.
• Deliver all plans, program work-streams and initiatives/ projects per agreed scope, schedule, budgets, and stakeholder experience.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned and reflected in the incumbent’s workplan
0including:Events Management Services: Oversee activities handled by the Events Management Team including acting as the primary interface role for providing expertise, direction, and support and leading client and business. Events management. This includes the effective and efficient planning, scheduling, setup, hosting, running, monitoring, and evaluating completed events and overall customer-experience (feedback and improvement recommendations). Support for institutional and departmental, periodic, standard, and customizable Events, held physically, virtually, and/or at hybrid levels, with internal and external audiences. This also includes coordination with internal ITD teams, external specialist vendors, and technical experts regarding Events solutions, implementations, and any required technical support.
• Manage, control, and monitor allocated budgets for the Hospitality Team and assigned projects. Guide the Team in administering contracts, budgets, and monitoring progress of implementation to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

• Demonstrable leadership, management, and supervisory credentials for staff; with skillful mentoring and coaching skills for senior and junior direct reports. Commercial acumen, with strong budget, contractual and vendor management capabilities.

• Master’s degree, or equivalent in business administration, economics, or finance; or a University degree and at least 5 years specialized experience relevant to the position can be considered relevant to the position. Registered Professional accreditation holders advantageous. International relevant working experience essential, preferably in Asia and across continents.
