SNV Global Nutrition Lead
About SNV SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is one of the largest Dutch, development organisations with operations in more than 25 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. SNV aims to lift up incomes and access to basic services. We make a lasting difference in the lives of people living in poverty, helping them raise incomes and access basic services. Driven by the Sustainable Development Goals, we are dedicated to a society in which all people are free to pursue their own sustainable development, and no one is left behind. This commitment to equity directs us to focus on gender and youth.
We apply our know-how to realise effective solutions and deliver results at scale worldwide. We do this through our local presence and our specialised expertise in agriculture, energy, and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). Our projects directly benefit millions of people. At the same time, our projects drive systems change, which helps many more people work their way out of poverty, well beyond the scope of the projects themselves. We are proud to be a not-for-profit organisation, implementing our mission exclusively through project financing. This requires us to work efficiently and to invest in operational excellence every day. For more information on SNV, visit our website: https://snv.org/.

SNV Global Nutrition Lead
Global Youth Employment Lead
Job Description The Goal of the Agriculture Sector at SNV is “More Inclusive, sustainable and resilient food systems which provide diverse nutritious food for all within planetary boundaries”. In order to achieve this, SNV has chosen to work in four areas, which we call products: ‘Inclusive Value Chains’, ‘Sustainable Nutrition for All’, ‘Climate and Business’ and ‘Opportunities for Youth Employment’. Each of these work areas (products) is co-ordinated by a Global Lead who steers the content and implementation – both internally and externally – of their “product” within the Global Agriculture Team at the Head Office and across all Country Offices of SNV globally. The Global Nutrition Lead– under the leadership of the Global Head of Agriculture – develops and continuously improves the description and the methods, tools and approaches of all nutrition related work of SNV. The “Sustainable Nutrition For All” (SN4A) product of SNV recognises the importance of taking a food system lens and works closely with SNV’s Inclusive Value Chain Development Product, applying both a demand and supply side strategy to address food and nutrition insecurity, integrating the key pillars of demand creation through triggering social and behaviour change communication (SBCC), improved supply and market development of safe, affordable and nutritious diets year-round and, strengthened sub-national governance. Recognising that improvement in nutritional outcomes are affected by gender roles within households, SN4A includes relevant tools to promote gender equality. SN4A applies a system approach to nutrition in order to create a new norm where stunting is no longer invisible.
