We are driving awareness and knowledge on responsible sourcing practices and empowering people in procurement. SPP seeks to be globally recognized as the most impactful non-profit organization within the field of Sustainable Procurement. We’re now on an exciting path to becoming more effective and scalable with a defined roadmap of the resources and actions required to ensure maximum impact. Would you like to be part of this journey? We are looking to hire our first employee, the Executive Director to bring SPP to the next level! In this role you work closely with the SPP Steering Team and future Board of Trustees to develop and deliver the long-term strategy, manage the overall operations, budget and fundraising, develop the product offering and partnerships to ensure compliance and impact. We currently have 7000 Ambassadors from 142 countries and more than 50 volunteers leading workstreams and active chapters. THE ROLE ROLE: LOCATION:

Executive Director Germany

As Executive Director, you will be in charge of the development and delivery of the short- and long-term strategy that is aligned with the vision and mission of the Sustainable Procurement Pledge. This is not an individual journey! Building and maintaining close relationships across different partner groups is embedded in the role. You will lead and collaborate with the SPP Steering Team Working Groups, oversee the Global Network of SPP Chapters across geographies, industries and topics as well as handle the increasing number of SPP Champions and coordinate the “League of Champions”. Creating a positive and productive culture in the team by listening to opinions, making adjustments, and recognizing the broader team’s accomplishments is part of your everyday activities. You will represent SPP and work on forming strategic partnerships. You will participate in industry-related events or associations that will enhance SPP’s leadership credibility and potential for success. It will be necessary to assess risks to the organisation and ensure they are monitored and minimized. Another important aspect will be ensuring that financials are handled well and that the annual report is successfully audited. You will perform other decisions as needed, such as reviewing reports, making presentations to donors and the Board of Trustees, and examining how the organisation can handle the budget carefully whilst growing funding.
