Registration Process Oxford College has a simple process to help prospective students enroll into one of our programs. Although our programs accommodate for multiple start dates, they are in high demand and fill up quickly. Therefore, to avoid any delay of being put onto a wait list, we recommend that applicants begin the application process as soon as possible. To begin the process, the first step is to contact our Admissions Department. While enrolled in school, students are responsible to re-pay only the interest portion of any outstanding balance; regular interest and principle payments would commence upon completing your education.
Second Career is a newly created Ontario government program which was designed to help unemployed workers who commit to a long-term training plan make the transition to new careers in growing areas of the economy.

WSIB Funding: If you are injured in an accident or develop medical problems due to work, you may qualify for Workplace safety and insurance board funding which can be used to finance your education. Lifelong Learning Plan: This plan is flexible! The Lifelong Learning Plan allows individuals to withdraw funds from their Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) to use toward paying for education; these funds may also be used toward paying for training or education of a spouse or common-law partner. An added benefit is that you do not have to include the withdrawn amount(s) in your income, and the RRSP issuer will not withhold tax on these amounts; additionally you have up to 10 years to repay these withdrawals to your RRSPs. Self Funding Option: Our monthly tuition fee payment plan helps our students to self-fund their education without interest. Our Financial Aid Officers are happy to provide more information regarding this payment option. Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP): An RESP is an Education Savings Plan registered under Canadas Income Tax Act which was established for the purpose of providing financial assistance to a Beneficiary (usually a child) when he or she pursues a post-secondary education; investment earnings on savings within an RESP are tax-sheltered until the child is ready for post-secondary education; the earnings are taxed in the hands of the student who typically pays little to no tax; in addition, RESPs may qualify for various government incentives that help parents, relatives and friends save for a child’s post-secondary education.

Dental Hygiene
Success Story
Our 18-month program will train you in a number of disciplines which include: assessing the needs of dental hygiene clients, the planning, implementation and evaluation of oral disease prevention and the promotion of overall oral health care. The curriculum provides courses in dental, clinical and behavioral sciences. In addition, students will gain 450+ hours of hands-on practical training by serving clients in our public dental hygiene clinic.

Early Childcare Assistant In less than a year you may begin a rewarding career in shaping the lives of children and making a real difference. With more than half of all mothers with preschool-age children working outside the home, there is substantial demand for high quality childcare providers. Employment opportunities exist in child-care centres, kindergarten classrooms, nursery schools, agencies for exceptional children and other environments where early childcare education services are provided. Pharmaceutical Quality Diploma School of Pharmaceutical Sciences Assurance/Quality 50 Weeks Control Technologist As a Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Technologist you will work in all areas of drug manufacturing from start to finish. Pharmaceutical QA/QC Technologists are mainly employed within the pharmaceutical industry; their training however, allows them the option of working in a variety of other positions which include: Quality Control Technician, Laboratory Technician, HPLC Analyst, etc. They can also find employment in several other industries including; Biotechnology, Food Processing, Breweries, Cosmetics and Herbal Medicine. Our one year program provides students with a solid understanding of various pharmaceutical manufacturing processes as well as the pharmaceutical quality control systems and tools. Students will be trained to complete technical reports and ensure that the safety standards of the industry are being met. Their primary responsibilities include identification/ analysis/testing of raw materials and finished products, verification of processes, confirmation of efficacy, the packaging of finished products and preparation of documents and assurance of product safety/ quality/efficacy. They also play a role in the transfer of products from development facilities to commercial manufacturing sites. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technologist A dynamic career awaits you in the Pharmaceutical Industry. A Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technologist may also work as a Pharmaceutical Production Technologist, Coating Operator or Compounder. Employment opportunities are vast and are found in the biotechnology, food processing, breweries, cosmetics and herbal medicine industries. Manufacturing is the lifeline of the pharmaceutical industry. Many companies operate on a continuous production cycle in order to meet production demands. All processes must comply with rigorous regulations and standards to pass in-house and external audits. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technologists are responsible for the execution of a wide range of tasks and duties which include operating computer-controlled equipment, monitoring process flows, performing tests and recording data. Oxford College offers an efficient 50-week Diploma Program which includes practical training in our very own Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant. Pharmacy Assistant In less than a year you will be prepared to begin a new career as a Pharmacy Assistant. During the course of the program, students will receive training on topics which include: processing prescriptions, dispensing, calculating, billing and customer care skills. Coupled with the theoretical aspect of the learning process students will also be given the opportunity to expand their skill set through our inhouse simulated Pharmacy Assistant Laboratory. The Laboratory is equipped with prescription bottles, measuring tools and POS registers in order to provide a real pharmacy experience. Financial Assistant/ Diploma School of Business Computerized 26 Weeks Accounting Now is the perfect opportunity for you to take advantage of the growing trend of computerized accounting. Businesses of all sizes are increasing their reliance on computer systems to manage various aspects of business operations. This has resulted in a shift from traditional book-keeping practices to newer methods of automated accounting. Our 26 -week program is designed to train students who are interested in upgrading their skill set or plan to pursue a career in the computerized accounting field. Students will be taught the terms, concepts and methods required to fully understand various accounting principles.
