Special Designated Area is a status granted to qualifying residences within luxury lifestyle developments that allow both EU and non-EU nationals to purchase property in Malta with the same buying rights as locals, without the need to obtain an AIP permit. In addition, any buyer can purchase a property in an SDA as an investment property rather than a primary residence.
