S: I love so many things, firstly the achievement and sense of accomplishment I get when I master a new technique or get a really good image, I feel proud of myself as I realise for someone of my age it is difficult to get into the industry and I am so lucky to have the advantages I do. CHAPTER Leg Shoot NAME
by Claire Noble
leg s h o o t Steffani Ann Thornton, Fantastic photographer and member of the P.O.S.E team has a recent interest and passion for bringing to life this under-rated aspect as male photographers tend to focus far too much on boobs and bum! Steffani wants to develop this idea in making the female form feel and look sexy! Legs can be just as attractive or even more so depending on your preference of the female body.Wearing a Baggy Tee with only your legs on show can be a real sexy look! Steffani is currently working on the legs project now and looking for confident models to show off their beautiful legs and get involved with the project. Using stockings, heels, different locations and studio based photos to create about 40 images in total, which will work towards a book that we hope to publish soon. Legs can be a great asset to the female body and huge attraction point if portrayed in the right way, heels give legs a longer slimmer look and different types of heels give different characteristics to your leg shape length and tone. Any ideas you have will be warmly welcomed and shows if you’re a model you’re creative and innovative. Steffani will arrange the locations and times with the various models that want to get involved as this is not just the one photo shoot and is not for just one model! Single or group shoots can be arranged, or any locations you feel would be a good suggestion can be considered. There’s also rumor of a launch party gallery event for when the project is finished to celebrate the completion of the assignment, and the future of the book, which will be a collaboration of all the photos and model references. It’s a great opportunity to help build your portfolio and get your face out there, or just gain some modeling experience at any point in your modeling career. You’ll be working with great people who are here to help you reach your full potential in your photos. Some modeling experience is always preferred, but if you’re a beginner with none who wants to give it ago and you’re confident and enthusiastic you’ll have an effortless and great shoot to kick start your career. From my experience in modeling if you have a clear plan, the right personality, and talent and feel you can complete a shoot efficiently, and successfully then you’ve got what it takes! If you feel that you will be a great asset to the project be that as a model with a fabulous set of pins or just feel you have a great idea get in touch with us via email at P.o.s.e@live.co.uk to apply. Or if you have any questions regarding the project don’t hesitate to get in contact we’re always happy to help!

Deborah Sussex In Early January P.O.S.E completed yet another one of their successful shoots. A major contributor to this success was Deborah Sussex. Deborah Sussex is a make up artists who made these girls even more beautiful for the January shoot. Her passion for make up come from such an early age, she knew this was something that she wanted a career in since she was at school... Deborah how did your passion to become a make up artist begin? I first became interested in make-up after being inspired by the female singers of the Sixties who always looked so glamorous to me. I realised that it can be easy to transform anyone to look their best with the correct techniques.
Lauren how did you feel the shoot went? I thought the shoot went very well it was my first shoot with Stef and Deborah, and it was so relaxed through out the whole day. If you had to pick one highlight of the day, what would it be? I think the highlight was getting all the make-up done, it just fills great to be all pampered before we did the shoot. Through all Deborah’s great success she has recently become an associate tutor for Jemma Kidd the well known make-up artist. Her future is looking bright with her hopes to open up a make up and beauty salon in Leigh-On-Sea so make sure you keep a look out for her! How did your career begin? I started to make people up from the age of 12, having practised on myself and my sisters for years! I took every opportunity to get involved in both theatrical and cosmetic make-up whilst still at school and never deviated from my ambition to work in beauty. When at the London College of Fashion I used to be sent to work on models for fashion shows and I worked for Tony and Guy at their London salon as a make-up artist. Since then I have worked on literally hundreds of people, as I have worked in the industry for over thirty years now. It was a brillaint idea to stick to her passion for make up because her career has jumped leaps and bounds. Deborah studied at London College of Fashion where her skills grew and grew .She has now been a make up aristist for thirty years, working as a make up artist in Toni and Guy and is now teaching her own make up course at schools and colleges. Deborah’s passion is to teach women how to make the most of their appearance through correct use of skin care and make-up. She wants to show that everyone can be beautiful. One of the modals of the shoot Lauren Samuels thoroughly enjoyed the shoot praising Deborah’s work recommending her to other modals. Lauren is used to quite natural make up but she loved her new look and liked having her make up done fo her.
She thoroughly enjoyed her shoot at P.O.S.E and said the day was great fun and everyone was great to work with. P.O.S.E thank Deborah for her hard work she did a fabulous job!
