Lo que gran parte de los expositores dejan adivinar es que la simplicidad seguirá siendo tendencia. Es uno de los rincones privilegiados de España en cuanto a riqueza hortícola. Consciente de su atractivo gastronómico, Calahorra celebra cada año una cita culinaria en torno a su joya más preciada: su huerta. La semana pasada fue la puesta de largo en Madrid de las XVII Jornadas Gastronómicas de la Verdura, con varios objetivos. Uno es divulgar la riqueza y variedad de los productos nacidos en esta población riojana. Otro es explorar las posibilidades que esta materias primabrindaaloscocineros. Lasjornadasimplicanavarios restaurantes y cocineros locales desde el próximo 22 de abril hasta el día 28. Entre los cocineros, cuyos nombres no deben dejar de anotarse en una agenda gourmet interesada por los platos de huerta, están Laura Suescun (La Taberna de la Cuarta Esquina), Saturnino Barragán (Chef Nino), Manuel Álvarez (Restaural), Miguel Espinosa (El Manzanar) y Esteban Alegría (La Comedia). Además, la huerta plantea un reto más: la cocina dulce. Así, también participan el pasteleroGabrielPérez(FloryNata) y el heladero Andrés Sirvent(Sirvent). Este equipo de gestores elaboró en Madrid un menú degustación, algunos de los cuales se podrán probar en las jornadas. Platos como el arco iris de pimientos asados a la leña con bonito, la huerta y el mar (vieira con crema de puerros);larosadealcachofa; losespárragostempladoscon aceite; la menestra de verduras de la huerta; o la borraja concocochasdebacalao. FOGÓN CURIOSO En la cita en Madrid para presentar las XVII Jornadas Gastronómicas de la Verdura, se recreó un huerto de la mano del calagurritano Julián García, así como un puesto y un almacén de verduras con productos como coliflores, alcachofas, puerros, berenjenas...Y una curiosidad: se‘fabricó’un traje con cebolla, firmado por el alumno de la Escuela Superior de Diseño de La Rioja Diego Vasco, que vistió la modelo Lucía Escudero. El diseño desfilará en la segunda Pasarela Ciudad de la Verdura el 25 de abril, con Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada como madrina.

MARĂ?A ARMCHAIR
FINALIST tiff award 2012 ( TAILANDIA ). Maria armchair has been designed as an element based on the great upholstered furniture classics using as a composite resource geometrical volumes with no superficial transitions by them. The result is a compact body with a light base that appears not to be as part of the entire. The structure is naked, showing materials and joints. It will be integrated on spaces as a visual reference. Using geometry to create beauty and spectacle, to talk about the space-product relationship as a tie with the expressivity and the contrast. An iconic volume that helps people to talk about themselves in a world that tries to made us as a part of a smooth society.
TAKE 5 SOFA Take 5 sofa tries to be a review of the typical elements of 50´s furniture. Using wood and leather with thos classic composition give elegance to the environment. Is is a light volume where the structure is nude with the aim of get dignity to this element tipically covered with fabrics. The integration in the space is done with the warmth-coldness play between the heavy architectural materials of the environmnet and a light visual element as that sofa is. This dialogue between product and environmnet bases and justify that design,
DECO CHAIR Deco chair is influenced by the modern architecture, changinf supports, organics...; also is based on the supports of the metallic reticular structures.Highlights the use of two materials completely different in the legs. The body is transparent allowing the user to see the assembley but this may not be done arbitrarily (that is the reason of the lines of the polycarbonate). It tries to be a small architecture for daily use.
DAME ARMCHAIR Dame armchair is a composition based on a balance play; one of the first idea is to transform the coldness of the metallic chairs of Breuer in a more warm element. The structure is integrated with the environmnet adding a smart complexity and a certain restlessness senstion. Looking for a new language based on compositional schemes that are based on the apparent fragility of the wood but that demostrates that this is a high resistance material full of beauty.
HOLA CHAIR Hola chair is an integrative volume, with minimalist look. I had tried to create a structure that would be integrated with the space where its function is developed, tring to avoid formal and material stridencies, and in general concept stridencies.Is is a example of joints study.
MESA TIC-TOE Dining room table. The oval form of the top tape gives it a movement that facilitates the conversation.
OUCHENE TABLE Auxiliar table for livingroom. Vintage touch. With a melamine cover that allows to be customized depending on the client taste.

FULL ART PROJECT BUILD NEW USE REBULD+ FURNITURE DESIGN + INTERIOR DESIGN Project desnitated to give a new use to a old bulding located in Alcoy city (Alicante). The bild is not used and the council was tring to demolish it. The proposal tried to create a design school for the recently engineers degree in the engineers school.
