RESIDENTIAL DESIGN FLOATING HOME

The conceptual approach is established by having a strong connection with the outside environment while having a mix of private and open spaces. By designing around organic and natural materials it will embrace a connection to the site. In applying an organic feeling with architectural details, the design will reflect traditional values of the client while still encouraging modern living.

PAVE COMPETITION DESIGN Chick-Fil-A The solution for Chick-Fil-A on a college campus is directly related to reimagining the customer experience. Simplifying the experience by design will support a simple menu that will provide students with quick signature Chick-Fil-A eats in between their busy schedules. Crafting your meal is an experience which is supported through new customizable food combinations. The design’s simple menu offers easy decisions and faster service ‘self-serve kiosk’s’ ordering, mobile orders and a designated hand-off station where digital screens allow students to view there order number. Mindful dinning has made millennial aware of what really goes in their food. Chick-Fil-A’s transparency has always been key but new thinking demonstrates an open concept prep bar which will allow students to see their meals being assembled into a pristine, organized and easy to carry convenient packaging which is a cool, innovative way to introduce opportunities for social and self-expression.

RETAIL DESIGN ALEXANDER WANG BOUTIQUE

The design approach for this mens clothing boutique revolves around a central cage installation that is used to emphasize new product line, special merchandising and in store promotions. The cage installation will act as a dynamic piece that is constantly evolving making the retail space feel like an artist’s gallery. Materials and finishes will reinforce the caged idea through a minimilistic approach such as using raw stone and neutral tones so that the merchandise and fixtures can highlight designated areas.

EDUCATIONAL DESIGN SERVICE LEARNING CENTER

The concept for this learning center is revitalization through nature derived from the various ecosystems of the Amazon rainforest. The design mission for this learning facility is to revitalize the Amazon and our design metaphorically expresses this idea by highlighting different elements in our space with vegetation, as if it’s being revitalized. In the main learning space a tree installation surrounding one of the main columns, represents the importance that the rainforest has on our well being and motivates visitors to become part of the solution.

RESTAURANT DESIGN EL HUESO RESTAURANTE

The concept for this upscale casual Mexican restaurant called "El Hueso" is inspired by its original contemporary branch situated in Guadalajara. Hueso meaning "bone" in spanish reflects the design with a raw, natural and organic setting which is seen in both materiality and design. Colours are very neutral and there are a lot of organic shapes which expresses the concept of an archelogical dig. This idea can be experienced through the ceiling design and the play on material details within the space.
