About me

PhD. in Design and Innovation at Seconda Università di Napoli (Italy), with international stage at the Universidad de Malaga (Spain), CAPES scholarship and developed research on participatory design, social innovation and entrepreneurship. He has MBA in Marketing and Communication (2013), Master of Science in Engineering (2006) and Graduated in Design (2003). He made several complementary and online courses, also promoting workshops in Brazil and Italy. He is Associate Professor of Design at the Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, where he was Chairman between 2010 and 2012. His works have been published and presented in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany, India and Argentina and he is also author of the book Integrating Design and Marketing, Creating Brand Value (EdUFCG, 2016). As a professional designer, he worked on development programs to design, graphic, advertising agency and furniture industries, being highlighted in publications and national design awards. His topics of interest are: Participatory Design; Social innovation and Sociotechnical Innovation; Design for Social Impact; Service Design; New Methods of Design; Design Management and Strategic Design.

Versatile and functional desk for PC, made in MDF panel with futuristic and 'space’ shape.

P-Tower

Year: 2006

Conceptual design of a tower of modular speakers wireless, which can be distributed according to the characteristics of the environment of use.

Daybed Diva

Year: 2007

Partner: Entre Fios (PB)

Diva is a typical Brazilian furniture that celebrates the time of rest, relaxation, laziness. It is an ottoman with a hammock seat, recalling the indigenous origins.

The supporting structure is made of alternative amazon solid wood, using for assembling only ttings and glue. The seat is made of a naturally colored cotton hammock, without dyeing processes. The lateral details are made by hand, using a macramé embroidery.

Reveillon

Year: 2008

Reveillon is a champagne glass design whose metal base has an irregular shape and receives the upper crystal (also irregularly shaped), to celebrate the New Year.

Bob Lamp

Year: 2008

Bob is a kid's lamp, in which the object is less a product and more a playful object, like a toy. The material (polypropylene ) allows the passage of light and it can be used both in the horizontal and vertical directions.

Flowerpot

Year: 2009

Partner: Yellow Co.

Flowerpot is a support to charge portable gadgets in general, such as smartphones, iPod, among others. The shape of a vase with ower in a unique body of injected plastic makes the object emotional, light and fun, at the same time functional and useful for the home or ofce decor.

NasOndas Cardboard Table

Year: 2010

The fabric with graphic waves from Copacabana and the double corrugated cardboard which the table is made are the ‘waves’ of this table. The two simple parts, support and box, make possible diverse functions and settings for a product too simple: a portable table that can be used as a tray, support for notebook or user’s activities; side table or coffee table, with magazine holder.

Junina

Year: 2010

Table lamp made by laser cutting of a thin sheet of MDF. Being at-pack, the lamp is assembled only trough tting and connection of the electrical parts. Its shape refers to the typical bonre of June festivals in the brazilian Northeast .

In/Out Table

Year: 2011

Partner: GS Metalúrgica (PB)

Folding table in folded metal sheet, with very few points of welding. The table is assembled by ttings and all pieces can be accommodated within the top, which educes the maximum volume and makes the table ideal for sales via e-commerce.

In the age of permanent information and constant connection, a fun and slim support with sculptural format, which works to keep the iPad raised with hands-free, and at the same time works as stand and exhibitor. The idea is that the spheres represent the points common in web addresses, and forming the case structure.

Enrolada Chair

Year: 2012

The Enrolada chair is a reinterpretation of steel chairs and spaghetti plastic, abundant throughout the tropical zone of South America. The chair features a new design, with no modications in materials and manufacturing processes, preserving the simplicity of this kind of furniture, but applying a more contemporary and urban design.

A steel tube body in a tree format with simple and communicative design, which can be used as a magazine rack, shoemaker or general support. It's a light and fun option for interiors, such as living rooms or bedrooms.

LOOP Handle

Year: 2012

LOOP handle has helical form in the center, which makes a loop around its central axis. The handle has an invisible thread, where one can install the prefered handle model tvia plug and threading. This broadens the options of the product, which can have various kinds of nishing in the central axis and various handles designs, allowing a great number of variations.

Oxe

Year: 2012

Pé-de-que

Year: 2013

"Pé-de-que" is a different piece, does not looks like a furniture. It has a exible design that evolves and allows using it in different ways, constituting a multifunctional concept almost 'poetry', where a furniture similar to the design of a tree may take the function of hanger shoe, support bags, magazine rack/bookseller, or what the user prefers. The result is an original piece, whose simplicity, essentiality and multifunctionality draw attention. Its look is light, sculptural, fun, but at the same time is functional and feasible.

Chicos Bench

A mix of furniture and toy which aims to encourage children to movement and fun! They can use Chicos to balance (as in the balance beam), jump, pass underneath it, use it as a soccer goal, make it a 'horse', and after all, can sit to rest after so much activity!

You know that faithful friend, for all times? Blob is like this friends! Helping you in several situations, always with an symphatetic and friendly aspect! Blob can be used like a coffee table, occasional table, cooler for drinks, lamp, basket, owerpot, or whatever the user wants!

Mr. Monster

Year: 2014

Once Upon a time ... a friendly monster that appeared on my desk to help me in the organization and functioning of my daily work. It organizes my pencils and materials, memo pads notes, as well as staples and clips. If I do not need organization, I can use it as a home base for my iPad. When I use it as a stand and amplier for my cell phone, the monster seems to be singing! It is fun, it make me laugh in the right moments!
