Working with Josh and Jamie of Pabst Photo was an absolute pleasure! They were extremely flexible with their schedule when we had to delay our shoot due to unforeseen circumstances. Once we were finally able to take the photos they were receptive to taking pictures in our style and making sure we got the most out of our shoot. They didn’t charge by the hour, or location, or outfit change like many other photographers tend to do, so we were able to relax and enjoy the experience. Then, Josh turned the edited high-res image files over in record time because he knew I was in a time crunch to get some Save the Dates made - so considerate! We couldn’t be happier with the end product and continue to receive new compliments on how great the pictures are (and we completely agree!).

CHICAGO HISTORY MUSEUM JULY 6, 2013 | KIM+MARK This magical wedding took place on July 6th 2013. Just imagine if you will, summer, Chicago, 4th of July weekend, and the Chicago History Museum. Add a couple beautiful people, a white horse and carriage, a gorgeous evening for an outdoor wedding, a patio-cocktail serenaded by a string-quartet, and a DJ to light up the dance floor. Those are just a handful of the ingredients that added up to one heck of a Chicago summer night.

We shoot a lot of weddings every year and they are all unique, but every once in awhile a couple, or a bride, goes the distance to make it extra special. Jen was one of those brides who paid extreme detail to, well, the details – and none were too small. Jen had a vision for her wedding day and we hope we captured the essence of the day.

This beautiful wedding took place on Memorial Day Weekend 2013. Jaci and Adam are both Indiana natives - Adam from Terre Haute, and Jaci from Evansville, Indiana. They decided to wed where Jaci grew up on the beautiful grounds of Kokies.

WILLIS TOWER Kristen and Tim were married on July 28, 2013 in California. July 28th just so happens to be our (Jamie and I) anniversary as well! Kristen and Tim wanted to have a party here in Chicago to celebrate their west coast nuptials. They chose the 99th floor of Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower). Could there be a more spectacular space in all of Chicago to celebrate the life they share in this great city?

Jamie grew up in the Chicago area and attended Indiana University in Bloomington. Jamie studied marketing, graphics, and art history. Upon graduation she took a job in Chicago practicing graphic design and marketing at a large real estate firm. Graphics and photography are not too different. They both employ the rules of composition, color theory, and require an eye for art. Jamie and I both believe in love. I am so lucky to be married to this girl. About a week ago we had the pleasure of photographing Mandy and Chad. We met themintheirBucktownneighborhoodwhere they recently purchased an awesome new home. It was a weekday in October – so we knewwewereupagainstthequicklysinking sun.Theytookustothefuturelocationofthe BloomingdaleTrail.Itusunderconstruction and still 50 million dollars from being complete–butitisanawesomeoldelevated rail line that runs through Bucktown and Wicker Park that is being renovated to be the longest elevated trail/park in the world. We had to jump a construction fence to get up on it, but once we were there we found a beautifulsettingsun,oldraillines,trees,and random objects tagged with graffiti – what a perfect spot for some fall photos – mixing natureandurbanity–weloveChicagoandwe love these pictures and this couple!
