Earning an “A Standard” time automatically qualifies a student-athlete for the NCAA Championships in that given event. A “B Standard” time means a student-athlete is eligible for an invite to the NCAA Championships in that event only if there are not enough “A Standard” times to fill all heats. In that case, student-athletes with the best “B Standard” times are given preference until all heat spots are filled.

Chris Kjeldsen Swimming Complex

The Chris Kjeldsen Pool has served the University of the Pacific and Stockton communities well for over 25 years. In 1995-96, under the direction of former athletic director Bob Lee, the athletic department raised funds to make the aquatics programs and facilities at Pacific among the very best in the country, with the completion of the Pacific Aquatics Center. The addition of the Pacific Aquatics Center to the Kjeldsen Swimming Complex cost an estimated $400,000. It is located on the east side of the pool complex and contains 4,000 square feet of space. Hot showers and locker rooms are available to serve recreational and

competitive athletes from both the campus and local community, and office space houses coaches and lifeguards. Meeting areas for athletic and social events are also found there. The pool and deck underwent a major renovation in 2008, which included the addition of spill-over gutters and a new scoreboard. Additionally, the pool was resurfaced with new siding to make it one of the faster pools in the region.

The Coaches Gustavo Barrios Interim Head Coach First Season (4th Overall) Cleveland State, ‘02, ‘07 Gustavo Barrios was named interim head coach for Pacific’s men’s and women’s swimming programs on September 1, 2011. Barrios had been an assistant coach for the Tigers for three years, following six seasons as an assistant coach at Cleveland State. As the Tigers’ assistant coach, Barrios was responsible for the organizational and administrative components of the men’s and women’s programs, such as recruiting and providing perspective into the sport from his successful career as a student-athlete. As the director of Pacific’s sprint program, Barrios coached then-senior Jenny Lewis to the NCAA Championships in 2009, where she placed 51st in the 50 Free and 61st in the 100 Back. Barrios played a key role in the Orange and Black’s recent successes, helping to guide the men’s team to a second-place finish in the inaugural Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships last season. He coached 14 student-athletes to All-MPSF honors in 2011. During his time in the water, Barrios won multiple league championships, event titles (100 Free and 200 and 400 Free Relays), and was a finalist in several other events during his four years (1999-2003) with the Cleveland State Vikings. As a freshman in 1999, Barrios anchored the 400 Free Relay team that clinched the Midwestern Collegiate Conference team championship for the Vikings.

A native of Panama, Barrios has had the distinction of representing his country in several international competitions. He represented Panama at the 2001 FINA World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, at the 1998 Central American & Caribbean Games in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and the 2001 Central American Games in Guatemala. A member of the Dean’s List during his four years at CSU, Barrios received the 2002 Barnes and Noble Director’s Award for the highest cumulative grade point average among all graduating student-athletes. His insight and knowledge into the sport of swimming allowed him to excel as a respected coach in the Horizon League with Cleveland State. In addition, his ability to relate to current swimmers through performances in the water as well as academically provided the coaching staff with tremendous insight. Barrios earned his master’s degree in sports management and exercise science from Cleveland State in 2007.

Graduate Assistant Coach First Season Pacific, ‘10

In her second year as a graduate assistant coach, Albiston continues her time with the Pacific swim team after lettering for four years with the Tigers and completing her undergraduate studies in sport sciences at Pacific. Albiston closed out her career placing in Pacific’s women’s top-10 record books in the 1000 Free (10:04.91), 1650 Free (16:54.97) and 400 IM (4:25.29). As a senior at the Big West Championships, she finished fourth in the 400 IM finals touching the wall in 4:25.26. During her junior season at the Big West Championships, Albiston made a top-10 finish and the Pacific record books with a time of 4:25.29 in the 400 IM. In her first two seasons for the Orange and Black, she won backto-back conference titles in the 1650 Free at the Big West Championships. During her freshman campaign, she posted a time of 17:14.04 and went on to shatter that time by 11 seconds with a time of 17:03.15 as a sophomore. In addition to her back-to-back 1650 Free conference titles, Albiston also topped all swimmers in the 1000 Free with a 10:11.10 race and finished fourth in the 500 Free (4:58.67) during her sophomore season. Albiston attended Skyline High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she competed in varsity swimming and earned All-America honors. As a senior, Albiston set a new Utah state record for in the 500 Free with a time of 4:57.95.

Rossi joins the Pacific swimming program for the first time in 2011-12 after earning four letters with the Tigers’ men’s water polo team and earning his undergraduate degree in sport pedagogy in 2011. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport sciences. As a member of Pacific’s men’s water polo team, Rossi tallied career totals of 41 goals, 53 assists, and 43 steals. He appeared in 97 matches in four seasons as the Tigers made the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament three of the four years. Outside of the pool, Rossi was a two-time MPSF All-Academic selection and four-time Academic All-America honoree. Rossi prepped at Ceres High School in Ceres, Calif., where he lettered in both swimming and water polo for the Bulldogs. He owns the all-time scoring title at his high school and was a two-time Junior Olympian as well as a member of the California Central Zone team.

The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation

The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) was established during the 1992-1993 academic year to serve the competitive needs of member institutions from the Big West, Pacific-10, Mountain West, Western Athletic and West Coast Conferences and other selected universities in the western United States; and to provide championship competition for Division I intercollegiate Olympic sports in a conference setting. The MPSF was originally formed to provide enhanced competition and championship opportunities for sports without conference affiliation; to contain the costs of competition; and to ensure the survival of sports impacted by Title IX and other fiscal pressures. The Federation has served as an incubator for emerging women’s sports and as a safe harbor for sports impacted by conference realignments. In 2006-2007, the Federation celebrated its 15th year of competition and is affirmed that is more relevant today than at any other time since its inception. As a testament to its viability, the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation continues to successfully ride the ever-changing wave of college sports by fostering contraction and expansion of its intercollegiate athletics portfolio to meet the dynamic needs of its member institutions and conferences. Since its inception, MPSF teams have won 49 NCAA team championships and many individual titles as well. In 2011-2012, the MPSF will again provide competition in nine Olympic intercollegiate sports while serving over 1,500 student-athletes and approximately 75 head coaches from 32 universities in 12 western states. All MPSF teams compete at the NCAA Division I level in men’s soccer, men’s and women’s water polo, men’s and women’s indoor track and field, men’s and women’s gymnastics, women’s lacrosse and men’s volleyball. All MPSF champions are eligible to compete in NCAA Championships with MPSF men’s soccer, men’s and women’s water polo, and men’s volleyball champions earning automatic qualification into NCAA championship events. In 2010-2011, five MPSF teams won NCAA championships to total 53 NCAA team titles since the Federation’s first season of competition in 1992-93. Almost a score of Federation teams and hundreds of student-athletes competed in NCAA postseason competition. CALIFORNIA started things off by winning their second-consecutive NCAA men’s water polo title last fall. ARIZONA STATE pulled off a double win with both the Sun Devils’ men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams taking NCAA crowns, after the women won both the MPSF and NCAA titles for the second year in a row. OKLAHOMA then won the NCAA men’s gymnastics title, also after taking the MPSF championship. This was the Sooners fifth NCAA crown in seven seasons and fourth-consecutive MPSF title with nine outright or co-conference titles in the past 10 seasons. UCLA capped the season by repeating as NCAA women’s water polo champions after winning the MPSF title, pulling off dual titles for the second year in a row. Other Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Champions for the 2007-2008 season include NEW MEXICO’s fourth-consecutive conference title in men’s soccer, the Lobos’ sixth in seven years; OREGON won it’s first-ever MPSF men’s indoor track and field championship while UC DAVIS added the Aggies’ first MPSF women’s gymnastics title. PEPPERDINE won its fourth MPSF men’s volleyball title before losing to Penn State in the NCAA final. Al Beaird has been the Federation’s only executive director, taking the reigns after being selected by the MPSF Administrative Committee in December 1997 after a national search. Beaird’s position was established as a result of the Federation’s continued growth and emerging tradition of NCAA and national championship caliber play, including 38 NCAA team championships during his tenure. Beaird, who formerly served on the athletics staff at his alma mater UC Davis, where the integration of student and athlete is a long-rooted philosophy, oversees the administration of all Federation sports, having worked closely with administrators and coaches from more than 40 different universities over the course of his administration. Beaird presided over the transition of the Federation from what was initially a scheduling alliance to what is now a nationally recognized NCAA Division I multi-sports conference. Beaird directs all aspects of MPSF competition, including championships, officiating, rules compliance, scheduling, media relations, broadcasting, sponsorships and NCAA relations, while also shaping conference legislation, facilitating annual meetings and providing direction and communication for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Administrative and Executive Committees. In 2004, Beaird completed a fouryear term, three years as chair, on the NCAA Men’s Water Polo Championships Committee and one year as chair of the inaugural NCAA Men’s and Women’s Water Polo Rules Committee. Beaird feels privileged to work with coaches and studentathletes who compete at the highest levels, including many who compete on USA national teams as coaches or players in international and Olympic competition. With his high level of involvement in NCAA Olympic sports, Beaird is often called upon to serve as liaison to the national governing bodies for amateur athletics in the United States and the United States Olympic Committee. Beaird received his undergraduate degree in physical education from UC Davis in 1977 before attaining his Masters of Business Administration (Marketing emphasis) from California State University, Sacramento in 1993. Beaird, who lives in Woodland, California, has two daughters who are active in high school and club sports.

2011-12 Women’s Season Preview Bevy Of Returners Has Optimism High For 2011-12 Women’s Season 15 Letterwinners Return For The Tigers as Pacific Looks to Build Off Of A Solid First Season In The MPSF Pacific experienced a change in leadership this offseason as former assistant coach Gus Barrios was named the interim head coach on September 1, 2011. The Tiger women do not intend on losing a step, however, as they return 15 letterwinners from a team that impressed in its first year in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. “I expect our women’s team to continue their strong performance from last year,” Barrios said. “We have multiple swimmers that are able to earn NCAA qualifying times in their specific events, as well as our relay teams.” The Tigers finished the 2010-11 season with an overall record of 7-5, including a 4-2 mark in MPSF meets. Jayme Swalin was a First Team All-MPSF selection in the 1650 Free and a second team honoree in the 500 Free. Joining her on the second team were MaryElla Randall (50 Free), Shelby Bolin (200 Back), and Elena Walterman (100 Fly). Eight newcomers, along with one redshirt, join the Orange and Black’s deep roster. Dekel Shahaf, who redshirted last season, will be looked upon to have an instant impact. Swalin will serve as the team’s captain while fellow seniors Ellen Barton, Lia Santini, and Elena Walterman will provide the squad Junior Mallory McGowan

with experience and leadership. Freestyle Randall returns for her second year after earning an NCAA qualifying time in the 50 Free as a freshman. Swalin, coming off of a third-place finish in the 1650 Free at the MPSF Championships, will lead the Tigers’ mid-distance freestyle swimmers while junior Mallory McGowan and Shahaf are expected to have an impact, as well. Breaststroke McGowan has been the Orange and Black’s most consistent swimmer in the Breast in her two seasons, winning event titles in five meets last season. She has improved her times each year and will look to earn a spot in the finals at the MPSF Championships in what is the league’s deepest event. Also expected to contribute are Santini and freshman Shannon Mack. Backstroke The Tigers have plenty of depth in the two Back events. Junior Becca Wyant is the team’s top returner. Sophomores Bolin and Hayley Shillington will contribute, as well. Shahaf and newcomers Annie Sumioka and Karen Barboza will bolster Pacific’s deepest event. Butterfly The Orange and Black’s fastest returner is Walterman, who is followed closely by juniors Jenna Chaplin and Allie Vetterlein. Chaplin spent the summer swimming for the Bahamas National Team, where she and Shahaf will be called upon to contribute in the two Fly events, as well. in the two IM events. Freshmen Kelsey Boreyko and Kelsey Crowder are also expected to contribute. In an extremely tough conference like the MPSF, Barrios expects the Tigers to challenge the top teams and improve on their seventh-place finish from last year. “The MPSF is one of the more challenging conferences regionally and nationally,” Barrios noted. “With the addition of BYU to get to 10 members, we hope to finish in the top half and give the top teams a run for their money.” Pacific had a stellar season in the classroom last year, as well, and Barrios expects the women to improve their team GPA, also. “Our women’s team was over a 3.0 combined GPA last year,” said Barrios. “I expect our team GPA to improve to a combined 3.1 or 3.2.” Last season, the Tigers had five MPSF All-Academic honorees in Ellen Barton, Jenna Chaplin, Mallory McGowan, Allie Vetterlein, and Elena Walterman. All told, the Pacific women’s swimming team is poised to have a memorable 2011-12 season thanks to its large number of returners and its impactful newcomers.

Junior (2010-11): Barton was recognized as an All-MPSF Academic selection. She finished 30th in the 1650 Free at the 2011 MPSF Championships, touching the wall at 18:33.89. Barton contributed to Pacific’s wins over Fresno Pacific and UC Santa Cruz with a third-place finish in the same event (18:59.46) in the Tri Meet on Jan. 22. Sophomore (2009-10): Barton had an impressive showing at the 2010 Big West Championships, placing 11th in the 1650 Free (17:57.48), 13th in the 1000 Free (10:43.85), and 18th in the 500 Free (5:16.67). She finished second in the 1000 Free against Cal State Bakersfield on Oct. 31 with a time of 11:15.45. Against Fresno State on Jan. 14, Barton touched the wall third in the same event, this time at 11:00.23. Senior Ellen Barton West Valley JC (2008-09): Barton redshirted her only year at West Valley Junior College. UC Davis (2007-08): Barton swam for UC Davis during her freshman year. She finished 16th in the 1,650 Free, 18th in the 50 Free, 19th in the 1,000 Free, and 29th in the 200 Free at the 2008 Big West Championships. Thomas Downey HS (‘07): Barton prepped at Thomas Downey High School in Modesto, Calif., where she earned four letters in swimming and was Barton’s Top Times her team’s MVP as a Event Time Date freshman. Women’s Profiles Jayme Swalin Senior Free Kenmore, Wash. Inglemoor HS Junior (2010-11): Swalin earned First Team All-MPSF honors in the 1650 Free and was a Second Team selection in the 500 Free. She had an outstanding showing at the 2011 MPSF Championships, finishing third in the 1650 Free (17:01.90), seventh in the 500 Free (4:58.33), and 12th in the 400 IM (4:28.74). Swalin was also a part of the championship’s sixth-place 800 Free Relay and seventh-place 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay teams. She had a pair of first-place finishes in the Quad Meet on Nov. 6, touching the wall first in the 1000 Free (10.26.69) and the 500 Free (5:07.43). Swalin also earned the top time in the 500 Free against Stanford on Jan. 8, coming in at 5:11.44. Her top spots in the 1650 Free (17:31.78) and the 400 IM (4:38.24) helped Pacific defeat Fresno Pacific and UC Santa Cruz on Jan. 22. Sophomore (2009-10): Swalin continued to impress during her sophomore campaign as she was the runner-up in the 500 Free (4:54.44), the 1000 Free (10:01.80), and the 1650 Free (16:49.97) at the 2010 Big West Championships. Showing her versatility, she claimed first place in the 200 Free against Fresno State on Jan. 14, clocking in at 1:55.25. She did the same versus UC Santa Barbara on Jan. 30. Freshman (2008-09): Walterman finished fifth in the 100 Fly (55.31), ninth in the 200 Fly (2:04.59), and 17th in the 200 IM (2:10.84) at the 2009 Big West Championships. In that meet, she took second in both the 400 Free (4:37.02) and the 200 Fly (2:25.04). She also claimed fourth in both the 200 Free (2:12.58) and the 100 Fly (1:05.37). She finished 12th in the 100 Breast (1:04.46) and 18th in the 200 Breast (2:23.62) at the 2011 MPSF Championships, and was also a part of the championship’s fifthplace 200 Medley Relay (1:44.12) and eighthplace 400 Medley Relay (3:50.56) teams. One of Pacific’s most consistent swimmers, McGowan placed in the top five in the 100 Breast in all but one meet and in the top five in the 200 Breast in Junior Mallory McGowan all but two. First-place finishes in the 200 Breast (2:24.49) against Cal State Bakersfield on Oct. 30, the 100 Breast (1:05.57) at the Quad Meet on Nov. 6, the 200 Breast (2:26.66) versus Stanford on Jan. 8, and both Breast events (1:05.37, 2:23.83) at the Tri Meet on Jan. 22 highlighted her breakout season. Freshman (2009-10): At the 2010 Big West Championships, McGowan came in sixth in the 100 Breast (1:04.98), 12th in the 200 Breast (2:22.37), and 19th in the 200 IM (2:09.01). She was also a member of the 200 Free Relay (1:36.62) and 400 Medley Relay (3:47.92) teams that each finished fourth. McGowan had an impressive freshman season, earning at least one top-five finish in each regular season meet. Women’s Profiles Laurie White Junior Free/IM Jacksonville, Fla. The Bolles School Sophomore (2010-11): White finished 28th in the 1650 Free at the 2011 MPSF Championships with a time of 18:05.70. A third-place time in the 400 IM (4:47.22) highlighted her performance against UC Davis on Jan. 14, while a second-place finish in the 1650 Free (18:15.51) helped the Tigers defeat Cal State Bakersfield on Oct. 30. Freshman (2009-10): The 2010 Big West Championships saw White take 13th in the 400 IM (4:44.44), 14th in the 200 Fly (2:17.95), and 15th in the 1000 Free (10:52.52). Women’s Team Lays Groundwork For Bright Future The 2010-11 season saw the Pacific women’s swimming program transition from the Big West into the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation for the conference’s inaugural swimming and diving campaign. The Tigers welcomed Washington State, BYU, and Fresno State to Kjeldsen Pool for the seasonopening Pacific Invitational. Despite finishing third, numerous individual swimmers highlighted the Tigers’ weekend. Jayme Swalin notched a fifth-place finish in the 1650 Free and a 10th-place finish in the 400 IM. Day Two saw another solid performance, including a second-place finish by freshman Hayley Shillington in the 500 Free. Shillington would go on to earn MPSF Swimmer of the Week honors for her performance in the meet A tri meet with UC Davis and Nevada saw the Tigers finish second to the Aggies but defeat the Wolfpack 156-106. A solo match-up with MPSF member Cal State Bakersfield followed, as Pacific dominated the Roadrunners 165-115 behind a first-place time from the 200 Medley team as well as individual wins in the 1000 Free, 200 Fly, and 50 Free, among others.

In their lone quad meet of the year, the Orange and Black came out on top, beating MPSF foes Seattle U, Loyola Marymount, and Cal State Bakersfield in impressive fashion, improving their record to 5-1 (4-0 MPSF). Top spots in numerous events, highlighted by Shillington’s 200 Back, MaryElla Randall’s 100 Free, and Allie Vetterlein’s 200 IM finishes, put the Tigers over the top. After a pair of losses, the team rebounded with a rout of both Fresno Pacific and UC Santa Cruz in a home tri-meet thanks to firstplace performances from Swalin (1650 Free), Mallory McGowan (100 Breast and 200 Breast), Shillington (200 Free and 500 Free), and Randall (50 Free and 100 Free). Pacific finished the regular season at 7-4 (4-2 MPSF) heading into the first-ever MPSF Swimming and Diving Championships. Solid individual performances from Swalin (3rd in 1650 Free, 7th in 500 Free) and Randall (4th in 50 Free), along with a fifth-place finish in the 200 Medley relay and a sixth-place time in the 800 Free relay resulted in a seventh-place team finish in the nine-team tournament.

2011-12 Men’s Season Preview Tiger Men Return 20, Look To Improve In Challenging MPSF 20 Letterwinners Return As Pacific Looks To Remain Strong In Expanded MPSF As former assistant coach Gus Barrios transitions into his new role as Interim Head Coach, Pacific’s men’s swim team will rely on its 20 returning letterwinners for leadership and stability to ensure that the Tigers remain focused on improving in an expanded Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. “The conference expanded from three members to eight in the offseason,” Barrios noted. “Our goal is to finish in the top half at the league championships.” Pacific welcomes back six seniors for their final years of collegiate competition. Captaining this year’s squad is Kevin Byers, one of only two four-year swimmers on the team. The Orange and Black return all six of their First Team All-MPSF selections from last year, including reigning 200 Back champion sophomore Oliver Simkovic. While the Tigers are blessed to have so many swimmers returning, the nine-man incoming class is expected to turn some heads. Brandon Chandler, Cooper Rogers, and Casey Fleming will be looked upon to contribute right from the start. “We want to improve our NCAA times from last season,” Barrios continued. “I expect our relay teams to earn qualification times and for Oliver to return to the Senior Nate LeRoy

championships, as well.” Freestyle The Tigers return the core of their freestyle relay squads in junior Kevin Schirmer and sophomores Taylor Moore and Adam Sharp. Junior Zach Zlotoff was a First Team All-MPSF pick in both the 500 Free and the 1650 Free. Joining him on the first team was classmate Sean Dunnigan in the 1650 Free. Freshmen Rogers and Fleming are expected to give the Tigers depth in the individual freestyle events. Backstroke Simkovic is the Tigers’ top returner in the Back events. He claimed the 200 Back title at the MPSF Championships, setting a conference record in the process. He earned First Team All-MPSF honors in the event. Fleming and Rogers will swim backstroke, as well. Breast Pacific has plenty of depth in the Breast events, led by top returner Nate LeRoy. Schirmer, along with senior Roger Ward, junior Jonathan Alves, and sophomore DJ Schilling, will also contribute. LeRoy, Schirmer, and Ward were all First Team All-MPSF selections in the Breast last year. Freshman Cameron Franke is expected to bolster the Tigers’ breastroke group. Sophomore RJ Barton was a Second Team All-MPSF pick in the Fly last season. Individual Medley Simkovic also paces the Orange and Black in the IM events. He was a First Team All-MPSF selection in both the 200 IM and 400 IM last season. LeRoy and Ward will add experience to the IM group while Byers swam an NCAA qualifying time over the summer. Junior RJ Barton brings added depth to the group. The offseason saw the MPSF expand from three members to eight, adding powerhouses Air Force, BYU, Hawai’i, and UNLV to the mix, along with North Dakota and Wyoming. Cal State Bakersfield will look to defend its MPSF team title. “The conference added teams that are perennial top-25 teams,” Barrios said. “We’re excited about competing against these schools and look forward to the challenge.” A large number of returners, along with exciting newcomers, have the Tigers’ men’s swim team ready to make huge strides this season.

Byers had a stellar meet versus Cal State Bakersfield on Oct. 31, recording three runner-up finishes, touching second in the 100 Back (54.91), the 200 Back (1:58.80), and the 200 IM (2:02.64). He claimed first place in the 400 IM against Denver on Nov. 7, clocking in at 4:14.37. He would finish second in the 200 Back (1:49.42) in the same meet. Versus UC Davis on Jan. 16, Byers took third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.98. At the 2011 MPSF Championships, he placed fourth in the 100 Free (45.31). He was also a member of the second-place 400 Free Relay team. Personal: Erdelyi was born in Eger, Hungary, and is the son of Gyorgy Erdelyi and Ildiko Kiraly. He has an older sister, Nikolett. Erdelyi was a three-time Hungarian Junior Champion in water polo from 2007-09. In 2007, he was a member of the European Junior Water Polo Championship team in Malta and was voted the Water Polo Player of the Future. Men’s Team Shows Growth In First Year Of MPSF With the termination of swimming and diving in the Big West Conference, Pacific’s men’s swim team, along with Cal State Bakersfield and Seattle U, joined the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation for the inaugural season during the 2010-11 academic year. The Tigers kicked off the season with the annual Alumni Meet and Pacific Invitational at Kjeldsen Pool. Pacific finished third at the Pacific Invite with 506.5 points. In the first tri-meet of the season against MPSF opponents, the Tigers defeated Seattle U, 150-112, while suffering a loss to Cal State Bakersfield, 159-104. Pacific ended the regular swim season on a high note when the Tigers tied Fresno Pacific, 131-131, and defeated UC Santa Cruz, 22240, on senior day to end the season 2-3-1 (1-2 MPSF). Following a non-conference loss at UC Santa Barbara, the Tigers headed to the inaugural MPSF Swimming and Diving Championships in Long Beach, Calif. Pacific took home second in the championships, finishing behind Cal State Bakersfield with 499 points. Fourteen swimmers earned all-conference honors at the end of the year, including five first team honorees. Nathan LeRoy and Roger Ward each earned awards in two different events. Zachary Zlotoff was recognized as the team’s Ironman Award recipient in recognition of his dedication, work ethic, and unselfish commitment to the team, which distinguished him amongst his male swimming peers. Earning the season’s Most Inspirational award was Kevin Schirmer, for promise and persistent hard work leading to extraordinary improvement. The Pacific Tiger award for the 2010-11 season was given to Danny Platow as the Pacific swimmer who exemplified the spirit, dedication, and competitive excellence of Pacific’s swimming program. David Hernandez was the recipient of the Renaissance award for his commitment to be successful in and out of the water at the highest level of sport and study.

Pamela A. Eibeck University President

Pamela A. Eibeck became the 24th President of University of the Pacific on July 1, 2009. She is Pacific’s sixth President since the University moved to Stockton in 1924 and the first woman to hold the office. Her Presidency follows a distinguished career as a researcher, teacher, educational reformer, and university administrator. Prior to joining Pacific, Eibeck was dean of the Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering at Texas Tech—one of the nation’s largest engineering colleges with 4,400 students, 156 faculty and five research centers. There, she was responsible for eight academic departments, 33 degree programs and a $55 million budget. An active fundraiser, Eibeck helped build an endowment of $57 million and doubled the number of endowed chairs. Eibeck takes the helm at a University with strong enrollments and finances, and the best incoming student academic profile in its history. With a record number of applications for Fall 2009, university enrollment is expected to remain steady at around 6,250 with a 20-point jump in the average admitted freshmen SAT score to 1200. Construction continues on two major buildings: the $7.5 million Janssen-Lagorio Multipurpose Gymnasium and the $10 million John T. Chambers Technology Center, and the last fiscal year closed with a surplus for the 13th consecutive year. While spending time to get know Pacific in her first year, Eibeck has committed to building on these strengths by continuing to enhance educational quality, build national visibility, and deepen the University’s involvement in community engagement. Eibeck received her bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in mechanical engineering between 1979 and 1986 from Stanford University. She joined the faculty at the University of California at Berkeley, where she earned tenure and served from 1985 to 1995. In 1995, she became a professor and chair of mechanical engineering at Northern Arizona University, where she later served as director of the honors program and then vice provost for undergraduate studies. In 2004, Eibeck was named dean of the college of engineering at Texas Tech. An expert in heat transfer, Eibeck conducted experimental research related to electronics cooling and thermal tiles used by NASA on the space shuttles. Her later work focused on engineering educational reform, including early use of multimedia in the classroom, curriculum development and, most recently, ways to attract young people and women to the profession. She has authored or co-authored nearly 50 articles and papers. Eibeck became a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in 2008. She received the Distinguished Engineering Educator Award from the Society of Women Engineers in 1996 and the Boeing Outstanding Educator Award in 1999. Eibeck is married to William D. Jeffery, a law professor and a native of California. They have four children. Sons Andrew and Kevin live in the Bay Area. Daughter Katherine attends the University of Southern California. Their youngest son, Will, attends Santa Clara University.

Founded in 1851 as the first chartered university in California, University of the Pacific continues to enjoy a reputation as one of the finest academic institutions in the West. The main Stockton campus, with its expansive lawns and brick-and-ivy architecture, much like many renowned universities in the East, is highly regarded as one of the most picturesque college campuses in the West. The only private school in the Big West Conference, Pacific offers a diversity of programs that would normally be associated with a much larger university. Two professional schools complement the Stockton campus: the School of Dentistry in San Francisco and the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. Pacific students are represented on many policy-making committees, and the Associated Students (ASUOP) play an active role in campus life through social and cultural programs. The Stockton metropolitan area, with a population of over 280,000, is nestled conveniently in the San Joaquin Valley between San Francisco and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Pacific offers its students a proximity to many exciting places including Monterey/Carmel, Lake Tahoe, the northern California wine country, and Yosemite National Park. It is adjacent to over 1,000 miles of waterways, making it the largest inland seaport in the state. How old is Pacific? We became California’s first chartered institution of higher education in 1851. We were also the first co-ed university (the first graduating class had five men and five women). We celebrated our sesquicentennial year in 2001. What type of university is Pacific? Pacific is a comprehensive university with three campuses and eleven schools and colleges. Eight of our schools and colleges provide undergraduate education on the Stockton campus, including a college of liberal arts and sciences (College of the Pacific), six professional schools and an adult re-entry division. Is Pacific a religious or church-related university? No. Pacific was founded by and is affiliated with the Methodist Church. We do have a chapel, a full-time chaplain, a number of religious-oriented clubs, and a Department of Religious Studies, but we are not a “religious” university where students are required to attend chapel or to take religion classes. Any or all of the above are available to students who are interested, but participation in such activities is completely voluntary. Is Pacific accredited? Pacific is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and many academic programs have additional accreditation by appropriate professional organizations.

Located in the heart of the Pacific Intercollegiate Athletics Center, the Pacific Student-Athlete Resource Center, includes state-of-the-art computer facilities and is used exclusively by student-athletes. A special opportunity exists for student-athlete participation at Pacific with the Pacific Student-Athlete Council. The council is comprised of elected student-athlete representatives from each Division I team. The council sponsors a variety of activities throughout the year for Pacific studentathletes and youth in the community. Ted Leland

Dr. Ted Leland, the Vice President for External Relations and Athletics, took over as the athletic director of Pacific Athletics on July 1, 2011. Beginning his second stint as the director, Leland will oversee Pacific Athletics for a two year period while overseeing the implementation of Pacific’s new strategic plan for Intercollegiate Athletics-a plan that he and and former athletic director Lynn King created while working together over the previous year. In addition to his duties in the athletic department, Leland will retain his status as vice president for external relations. At the end of the two-year period, Leland will resume full-time duties as vice president for External Relations and conduct a search for a new athletics director. Leland last ran Pacific’s athletic department from 1989-91 before moving on to Stanford where he was the athletic director until 2005. During his 14 years at Stanford, Dr. Ted Leland not only led the Stanford Athletic Department to unprecedented success both on and off the playing field, but earned a reputation as one of the nation’s top athletic administrators. Leland was named The Jaquish & Kenninger Director of Athletics at Stanford University on June 7, 1991, and has been the guiding force in leading an athletics program that was voted as “the most admired collegiate athletic program in the nation.” During his tenure, Stanford won the prestigious Directors’ Cup, emblematic of the top athletic program in the nation, for the last 11 years and the Cardinal won more NCAA championships than any other school in the nation. Under Leland’s stewardship, Stanford’s athletic program enjoyed tremendous success in fund raising and athletic facilities were vastly improved. From 1991-2005, Stanford won 50 national team championships and 173 conference championships, including an NCAA record six national titles in 1996-97. Cardinal teams consistently competed for the national championship in virtually every sport every year. In 2004-05 alone, Stanford had 26 programs finish in the Top 25 nationally, including 10 in the Top 5 and 16 in the Top 10. In the area of fundraising, the Athletic Department raised over $270 million in private donations, and its assets and endowments grew from $52 million to $374.9 million during Leland’s tenure. In addition, approximately $185 million in new or renovated athletic facilities were completed and funded. Leland’s peers and colleagues have honored him on several occasions. He was presented the Dick Enberg Award by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) in 2004. The award is presented to “a person whose actions and commitment have furthered the meaning and reach of the Academic All-America programs and/or student-athletes while promoting the values of education and academics.” In 2000-01, Leland was honored by NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics) and the Street & Smith’s Sports Business Journal as the Athletic Director of the Year. The award recognized an Athletic Director for demonstration of commitment to higher education and student-athletes, continuous teamwork, loyalty and excellence, and the ability to inspire individuals or groups to higher levels of accomplishments. In 2008, he was elected into the organization’s hall of fame. Leland has served on numerous national committees throughout his career. He is currently a member of the University of the Pacific Board of Regents and the Board of Directors of Opportunities Industrialization Center West (a non-profit community-based job training center on the Menlo Park-East Palo Alto border). He has been a member of the Division I NCAA Committee on Infractions and the NACDA Executive Committee, and has served on various other Pac-10 and NCAA committees. In June of 2002, Leland was named a co-chairman of the United States Secretary of Education’s Commission on Opportunity in Athletics. The 15-member panel examined ways of strengthening enforcement of Title IX and expanding opportunities to ensure fairness for all college athletes. Leland served a two-year term as the Chairman of the NCAA Management Council. He was a member of the Management Council for eight years. After serving as Stanford’s Director of Athletics for 12 years, Leland was granted a “Special Research Leave” from his post in the spring of 2003. During an 11-week absence, Leland was a Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the Hoover Institution on campus, conducted research on a book, and wrote and delivered several speeches on national issues related to intercollegiate athletics. In addition to Stanford and Pacific, Leland was also the athletic director at Dartmouth College from 198389. His other career stops have included Northwestern University, where he was a Senior Associate Athletic Director from 1981-83 and the University of Houston as an Assistant Athletic Director from 1979-81. He was an assistant football coach and instructor of physical education at Stanford in 1978-79. Leland grew up in Northern California, graduated from Hayward High School and later attended Chabot College. He earned both his Bachelor’s (1970) and Master’s (1972) degrees from the University of the Pacific, prior to adding a Ph.D. from Stanford in 1982 in education/sports psychology. While an undergraduate at Pacific, Leland earned First Team All-PCAA football honors as a defensive end in 1969. He later coached football at Pacific, Stanford and East Tennessee State. In addition to his work in athletic administration, Leland has held the position of “adjunct professor” at Dartmouth College, Pacific and Stanford, teaching courses in Sports Psychology and the Philosophy of Sport. He is currently a Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the Hoover Institution at Stanford. Leland and his wife, Stefanie, have two children: Amanda and Bo.

Holly Trexler

In her seventh year at Pacific, Holly Trexler is the Associate Director of Athletics for Student-Athlete Services and Compliance. She became Pacific’s Senior Women’s Administrator in September of 2008. Among her duties, Trexler oversees compliance, academic support, student services, the Pacific Student Athlete Council (PSAC) as well as the CHAMPS/Life Skills program. In addition, Trexler is currently serving on the NCAA Leadership Selection Committee. Before coming to Pacific, Trexler was the assistant athletic director for academic support/life skills coordinator at Quinnipiac University from 2002-05. At Quinnipiac, she monitored the academic progress and eligibility status of all student-athletes, in addition to overseeing academic programming and support services. Trexler was also responsible for the CHAMPS/Life Skills program. Prior to her time at Quinnipiac, Trexler spent the previous three years as assistant athletic director for eligibility and student services/senior woman administrator at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, N.C. Her duties at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference school included the monitoring of academic records and eligibility status of 300 student-athletes. She also oversaw the academic programming and support services. From 1993 to 1999, Trexler worked at the University of Kansas as a strategic learning assistant and Mentor. In her position, she developed learning strategies for at-risk student-athletes and assisted with subject matter and overall academic development. Trexler holds three degrees from the University of Kansas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and African-American studies in 1995. She was awarded her Juris Doctorate from the Kansas School of Law in 1998. A year later, in 1999, she finished her master’s in education.

Athletic Performance Tony Sandoval Director of Athletic Performance Tony Sandoval joined Pacific in April of 2007 as the assistant director before being promoted to the Director of Athletic Performance in October of 2007. He most recently served as an assistant director of strength and conditioning at Sacramento State from January 2005 through the spring of 2007. Sandoval also earned his master’s degree in sports performance in 2006 at Sacramento State. While working at Sacramento State, Sandoval also worked with UCLA on a mentorship program that allowed him to travel to Los Angeles, Calif., approximately once a month to work with Bruin athletics. Sandoval earned his bachelor’s degree from Cal State San Bernardino in December of 2004 in exercise science. During his undergraduate studies, Sandoval also served as the boxing coach and the boxing strength and conditioning coach for the city of Chino, Calif.

Strength and conditioning is an integral part of any student-athlete’s life. At Pacific, new facilities combined with a dedicated staff work toward success on the playing field for Tiger student-athletes. The multi-purpose weight training and fitness facility within the Pacific Intercollegiate Athletics Center is 4,000 square feet and includes 10 Olympic platforms, 10 racks, five bench presses, five adjustable inclines, two full racks of dumbbells, over 50 medicine balls, 35 Swiss balls, six adjustable plyometric boxes and was completed in July of 1998. The newest addition to the athletic performance facilities is a 2,000 square foot conditioning room with plyometric flooring and 20 Schwinn Spin Bikes. “The Athletic Performance Department’s goal is to help prevent the risk of injury while at the same time improving physical and mental attributes for all our student athletes,” said director Tony Sandoval. “We feel it is very important for our student athletes to be in great shape throughout the whole year so that they can compete at the highest level possible. “The benefit that our student athletes receive from our training goes beyond the weight room or conditioning field. We stress values such as discipline, accountability, team camaraderie, and competition. These traits that we build upon in every strength and conditioning session is what gives our teams the best chance to succeed during competition and in life.”

Marcus Dorin joined the Athletic Performance staff in January 2008 as the Assistant Director of Athletic Performance and is responsible for the year-round training for nine of Pacific’s athletic teams. Before coming to Pacific, Dorin spent the previous two years as the strength and conditioning coach of Butte College’s (Chico, Calif.) football, baseball, men’s basketball and softball teams. Prior to working at Butte College Dorin served as a spring training strength and conditioning intern for the Texas Rangers. Coach Dorin served as the strength and conditioning coach for seven of Chico State University’s athletic teams while he completed his master’s degree in kinesiology. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Chico State University.

Athletic Training Medical care of Pacific student-athletes begins with its athletic training staff and the fully operational Joseph Spracher Athletic Training Facility. The facility features the latest in injury prevention, rehabilitation, clinical diagnosis and educational research. The athletic training facility is operated and staffed by the director of athletic training Chris Pond and assistant directors of athletic training Sam Gay and Annette Martinez. Pond, Gay and Martinez are certified athletic trainers by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and oversee treatment and medical attention given to all of Pacific’s intercollegiate sports. In his 21st year at Pacific, Pond is a 1988 graduate of Utah State, and spent two years at Arizona before arriving in Stockton. The athletic training facility is also the training laboratory of Pacific’s athletic training undergraduate studies program. Pacific offers athletic training as a field of study within the University’s Department of Sport Sciences. Approximately 15 students participate annually in Pacific’s student-athlete training program. The academic needs of athletic training students are supervised by Jodi Baker (ATC), director of Pacific’s Athletic Training Education Program.

In 2006, Pacific saw the opening of its first oncampus baseball field, Klein Family Field (bottom right). Klein Family Field is one of two on-campus facilities with stadium lights that allow for night games throughout the season. Stagg was built in 1950 and has undergone several renovative efforts since. The Tiger swimming and water polo teams hold their contests at Chris Kjeldsen Pool, located adjacent to the athletics department. The complex also holds lockerrooms and coachesâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; offices. In 2008 the pool was resurfaced with new siding to make it one of the faster pools in the Big West Conference. Pacific athletics is dedicated to providing students with top-notch facilities, and the JanssenLagorio Gymnasium is the newest addition to the Tigersâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; facilities. Tiger Team Capsules Pacific picked up a conference championship in softball in 2011, the Tigers’ first-ever softball title. The Tigers garnered five conference player of the year honors while taking home 71 all-conference awads. Pacific also had one Academic All-Americans and 62 Academic All-Conference Team athletes. BASEBALL – Final Record: 17-37 (9-15 Big West Conference) Notes: • Three All-Big West honorees with sophomore Dustin Torchio earning first team honors while seniors Matt Carvutto and Brian Martin each were named to the second team. • The Tigers beat three ranked teams with victories over No. 10 Cal State Fullerton, No. 13 Cal and No. 17 UC Irvine. • Senior Brian Martin finished his career second alltime in Pacific in hits and became one of four players to reach 200 career hits, 100 career RBI and 100 runs scored as a Tiger. • Senior RHP Jake Hummel earned Big West Pitcher of the Week honors for his complete-game shutout over San Francisco, while junior OF Daniel Johnston earned BWC Player of the Week honors after hitting .538 in a three-game series against UC Davis. MEN’S BASKETBALL – Final Record: 16-15 (8-8 Big West Conference) Notes: • Pacific finished fourth in the Big West during the regular season, but fell in the first round to No. 5 seed, and eventual tournament champion, UC Santa Barbara • Senior Sam Willard and sophomore Allen Huddleston each earned All-Big West Conference honors. • Willard was named All-Big West First Team, after a senior season in which he led the Big West and was 11th in the NCAA in rebounding with 10.6 rebounds per game. • Willard became the only Tiger in program history to score 1,000 points, grab 800 rebounds and nab 80 steals.

Softball - Big West Champions WOMEN’S BASKETBALL – Final Record: 9-22 (5-11 Big West Conference) Notes: • The Tigers finished seventh in the Big West to earn a bid into the Big West Championship tournament. • Pacific advanced to the semifinals of the Big West tournament for the first time in five years after posting their first win at UC Santa Barbara in 24 seasons in the quarterfinals. • Freshmen Danielle Peacon and Gena Johnson each earned All-Big West honorable mention and All-Freshmen honors for their play. Peacon also took home all-tournament honors for her performance in the championship tournament. • On Dec. 28, the Tigers hosted No. 1 UCONN, taking on the historic Huskies in front of a record 6,150 fans at the Spanos Center. CROSS COUNTRY – Final Record: Ninth of nine at Big West Championships Notes: • During the Big West Conference championships the entire team set their personal best times. • The team improved its overall time from the 2009 season by seven minutes and improved the average time by over two minutes. • Freshman Melissa Hopper and sophomore Jazmin Quiroz competed at the NCAA West Regionals to close out the year.

GOLF – Final Record: Second of Eight at Big West Championships Notes: • Pacific earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament making their first trip to the postseason since 2001-02. • The Tigers finished seventh of 13 teams at the San Diego Regional • As a team, Pacific took home the Pacific Invitational title with a program record -23, 827 three day total. • Senior T.J. Bordeaux won the Pacific Invitational with a program record -15, 198 total. He set the program single-round record in round 2 with a -10, 61. • Senior Alex Johnson won the Fresno State Lexus Classic in a playoff and shot a -6, 210. • Four Tigers’ earned All-Big West honors at the end of the year as T.J. Bordeaux and Alex Johnson earned first team honors while Alex Edfort and Patrick Kucich earned honorable mention honors. SOCCER – Final Record: 8-8-3 (5-3-0 Big West Conference) Notes: • Pacific played one of the toughest schedules in the nation in 2010 as they played seven matches against top-25 teams. • Finishing fourth in the conference, the Tigers made the Big West tournament for the second time in three seasons, falling in the opening round, 2-1, to UC Irvine on the road. • Five Tigers earned All-Big West Conference honors, including Freshman of the Year Brittni Beeman. Senior Kylee Ah Choy earned first team honors, her secondconsecutive top honor.

Tiger Team Capsules WOMEN’S SWIMMING – Final Record: Seventh of nine at MPSF Championships Notes: • Pacific finished seventh in the first MPSF Swimming Championships. • Jayme Swalin, Elena Walterman, MaryElla Randall and Shelby Bolin all earned All-MPSF honors in the pool. Swalin earned first team honors in the 1650 Free. • The Tigers placed five swimmers on the all-academic team at the conclusion of the season. MEN’S TENNIS – Final Record: 13-11 (3-2 Big West Conference) Notes: • The Tigers were ranked as high as No. 74 in February. • Pacific swept UC Davis as well as UC Riverside in the month of April. • Coach Redondo was selected as Coach for the USTA Northern California Team for the 38th annual Maze Cup. • Six Tigers were honored with Big West recognition and All- Conference Team selections.

Jenifer Widjaja SOFTBALL – Final Record: 37-19 (16-5 Big West Conference) 2011 Big West Champions Notes: • Pacific won its first ever Big West championship after posting a 16-5 record in conference play. • The Tigers made the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2007, earning the conference’s automatic bid while being placed in the Stanford Regional. Pacific went 0-2 at the regional falling to No. 11 Stanford (3-0) and No. 16 Nebraska (11-1). • As a team the Tigers put together a historic campaign at the plate as Pacific finished with the Big West and the program’s single-season batting record after posting a .323 average. The Tigers’ finished No. 13 nationally at the plate. • Pacific took home three major honors in the Big West as head coach Brian Kolze was named the conference’s coach of the year while sophomore Nikki Armagost was named the Player of the Year and freshman Kelsey Rodriguez was named the Freshman Player of the Year. • A Big West record seven first team all-conference slots were given to the Tigers as Nikki Armagost (pitcher & utility), Megan Hom (outfield), Nicole Matson (first base), Amy Moore (catcher), Lindsey Pierce (outfield) and Kelsey Rodriguez (designated player). • Three Tigers earned all-region honors as Nikki Armagost, Megan Hom and Kelsey Rodriguez all earned second team honors. Rodriguez became just the third freshman in program history to earn the award. MEN’S SWIMMING – Final Record: Second of three at MPSF Championships Notes: • In the inaugural season of swimming for the MPSF, the Tigers finished second at the championship tournament. • 14 swimmers earned all-conference honors at the end of the year for the Tigers with Nathan LeRoy and Roger Ward earning awards in two different events. • In addition to athletic endeavors, the Tigers placed eight swimmers on the all-academic team.

WOMEN’S TENNIS – Final Record: 9-12 (4-4 Big West Conference) Notes: • The Tigers swept the Cal State Fullerton Titans and the UC Riverside Highlanders. • Susan Te clinched the match to advance the Tigers to the semifinal round of the Big West Championships after winning her nearly five hour long singles match against UCSB product Kiersten Meehan. • Pacific advanced to the semifinal round at the Big West Championships at Indian Wells, California. • Two Tigers were selected as Big West Athletes of the week (Kateryna Nezhura and Jenifer Widjaja), one was competitor of the month for the month of April (Susan Te), and one was Big West Tennis Player of the Year (Jenifer Widjaja). MEN’S VOLLEYBALL – Final Record: 11-19 (5-17 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) Notes: • Pacific achieved its first national ranking since 2007 and finished the season ranked No. 14 in the Association (AVCA) poll. • At the end of the year two Tigers earned All-MPSF honors as freshman Javier Caceres and sophomore Taylor Hughes each earned honorable mention honors as voted upon by coaches.

WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL – Final Record: 19-11 (9-7 Big West Conference) Notes: • Head Coach Greg Gibbons took over the helm of the program as the seventh head coach in program history on Jan. 28, 2010. • Pacific finished fifth in the Big West after going 9-7 in conference games. • The Tigers biggest win of the season came against No. 24 Arizona when Pacific knocked off the Wildcats 3-1 at the Wolf Pack Invitational. • Pacific won the 32nd Annual Bankers Classic at home in September. Sophomore Hannah Clancy was named the tournament’s MVP. • Senior Svenja Engelhardt capped a phenomenal career with her first-ever All-Region selection, First Team All-Big West honors and finished 16th in the NCAA in kills per game. • Junior Samantha Misa and freshman Jennifer Sanders also garnered all-conference recognition at the end of the year for the Tigers. MEN’S WATER POLO – Final Record: 17-11 (4-4 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) Notes: • Pacific’s kicked off the 2010 season receiving national attention when they swept the competition at the Triton Invitational, which included wins over No. 6 LMU and No. 11 UC San Diego. • During MPSF Conference play the Tigers finished the season with a 4-4 record that included a 10-9 upset over No. 3 Stanford. • The Tigers ended the season 17-11 (4-4 MPSF) and finished seventh at the MPSF Tournament. • Three players earned all-america honors at the end of the year as Goran Tomasevic earned his second consecutive award while Balazs Erdlyi and Alex Malkis made their first appearance on the team. WOMEN’S WATER POLO – Final Record: 21-12 (2-3 Big West Conference) Notes: • Pacific finished fifth at the Big West championships after finishing the regular season fourth in the conference standings. • The Tigers picked up their second-straight 20+ win season after finishing just two wins shy of their program record set last season. • Three Tigers earned All-Big West honors at the end of the year with Dara Tawarahara picking up Pacific’s only first team award. Mandy King and Michele Relton each earned honorable mention honors. • For the second consecutive season Dara Tawarahara was named an Honorable Mention All-American at the end of the season.
