November is an ideal time to observe one of the best local natural treasures, the Sandhill crane, as they arrive by the thousands from their nesting grounds. Also to be expected are two formerly endangered species, the Aleutian cackling goose and the spectacular Peregrine falcon, which are now regularly seen in our Delta region. CABANA WINERY TASTING IP NOV. 19 | 11:30 AM–1:30 PM 710 BECKMAN ROAD, STE. D, LODI

GIVING TO OLLI
Please share the wonder of OLLI with friends and family. OLLI is rewarding current members for referring new members. Earn a $15 voucher/code for referring a new member. You can use the $15 voucher/code toward one class, course or EdVenture (does not include travel and cannot be applied toward membership fee.) Referrals are unlimited and must be used within the academic year that they are received (Fall 2021–Spring 2022). Please complete the referral form found on our website, OLLI.Pacific.edu. Once the new member enrolls and pays for their membership, you will receive your voucher/code.
Financial gifts to OLLI help ensure that we are sustainable well into the future. We invite you to join fellow OLLI members and invest in our faculty, staff and members. Together, we build a stronger future for OLLI at Pacific. Every gift counts; every dollar you give makes a difference here at OLLI.
OLLI IS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS! If you want to get involved with Pacific, becoming an OLLI volunteer is a wonderful way to make this happen. OLLI is an organization that depends on the involvement of its members to function and grow. We are looking for individuals who would like to lend their skills to the day-to-day administration of classes. We are specifically looking for members who would be a classroom “host.” The classroom host receives a discount of 50% off the class/course fee. We ask that you attend a “class host training” tutorial provided by Jennifer Juanitas on Thursday, Aug. 26, 10–11 a.m. (PDC 330). One host per class/course needed. (Does not include lectures, health classes, SIGs, EdVentures or travel.) If you are interested, please complete the form on our website, OLLI.Pacific.edu
WE OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS! Our scholarship program is open to new and returning members on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not ask for any financial information. The scholarship covers your Gold or Silver Membership (does not include Bronze Membership) for the entire year (Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters). It does not include any other fees or costs. Check the box on your registration form to apply. Please contact our office at 209.946.7658 to find out more.
A special thank you to all those who have given and continue to contribute to OLLI at Pacific. Your monetary gifts enable our member institute to continue to transform your life and the lives of future lifelong learners.

SUSTAINABILITY In an effort to help the environment and to decrease the cost of print catalogs, next semester we will be creating a smaller, pamphletsize list of spring 2022 semester programming. OLLI at Pacific will be providing more programming content on our OLLI website next semester due to a large increase in members using online registration and distance learning. OLLI.Pacific.edu
