ounded in 2001, Crescent Hill Nursery is a Watsonville, Californiabased grower of rare and unusual perennial plants. California offers a multitude of different microclimates in which to garden, and our aim is to fill these diverse niches with interesting plants from around the world. Crescent Hill Nursery believes that California’s wide array of natural environments provide the ideal backdrop for the use of interesting plants in the landscape. Emp’s Graphic Eye Glass Work truely a work of art

ill Empey, owner of Emp’s Graphic Eye, has been involved with artwork ever since his grade school teachers asked ‘’who has the ability to draw a class project”. :Bm followed his passion for art thru Petaluma High School, Brigham Young University and the San Francisco Art Institute. In the early 1970’s, Bill traveled all over the West Coast in his motorhome painting “super graphics” on buildings

such as the Fuller O’Brian paint factory in So. San Francisco. Remodeling his parents’ clothing store in Santa Rosa got Bill involved in the construction industry and he spent the next ten years designing and remodeling residential and commercial buildings in the Bay area to include Chuck E Cheese. Then in the late 1980’s, Bill found a new love and he let his construction crew go and he hired young ladies with art backgrounds to help with his new fascination for glass. All of Bill’s past educational and work experience have proved instrumental in his ability to design and carry out complicated glass projects with the proper attention to any structural demands or specific building codes pertaining to glass. Bill’s art background has enabled him turn a functional piece of glass into something truly beautiful. Bill and his capable staff have been carving on glass shower panels, front door and cabinet glass, windows, mirrors, tables, and just about any other glass surface you can think of. Bill can edge light his glass panels with L.E.D. lights in a wide spectrum of

colors for a unique visual effect. Bill also paints on his glass projects to achieve a special outcome. Bill has one of the largest kilns in the Bay area and he puts it to good use making slumped glass for shower panels, counter tops, sinks, and door and cabinet glass. The kiln also allows Bill to make curved glass panels that will fit into many different residential and commercial applications. Over the years, Bill’s custom glass work has been shown in many remodeling and architectural magazines. Bill has done work for such people as Joe Montana, Robin Williams, Ronnie Lott, members ofMetallica and the “E” Street Band and such, companies as Microsoft and Century 21.
